I'm getting 17" wheels soon, and I'm looking for new tires for them. I am unsure on the offset, but they are 7.5 wide. I was thinking about 225/50/17 for tires. That would only be a 1.1% speedo error.

Opinions on that size?

I've got 17x7.5 rims and I ride on 225/45/17 they fit alright. I could probably do 235/45/17 once I fix my saggy suspension.

Edit: Oh yeah the offset is also 40mm

So do you think 50 series is too tall? The tire calculator says that the 45 series is 4.5% off (225) and 3.2% off(235). Plus I want to fill in the fender gap, but not have rubbing.
