after much attention my sho refuses to give up the ghost, runs terrible missing half power, skips lean pops along under load, runs like a pos.
changed dis module 2x, changed cam sensor, compression test good.
only thing left is the brain and the crank sensor, does the crank sensor die or will it cause long dragged out death? I love my 111 code, just wonderful.

Have you checked the plug wells? Oil in the plug wells will cause the symptoms you describe above. One tell-tale sign is that the missing/popping occurs during moderate to hard acceleration and will improve or clear usually above 3000-3500 rpm.

check all your grounds.
i.e. the strap at the rear passanger side of the intake.
and the bolts that hold on the crossover tube.
make sure these are tight and clean.
