It's never too early to start planning these things. I noticed today that SHO Club has listed a lot of info on the '05 Convention and has a spot to input your information if you're heading up a caravan so that visitors to the site can see which caravan to join from their area. I plan to try and organize a caravan for us and anyone else from our area that is not a member of FSHOC but plans to attend the convention. I'd like to be able to post our information up on shoclub.com.
During our online meeting a couple of weeks ago, we discussed this briefly and in passing. We somewhat agreed on meeting somewhere in south Georgia, along I-75. Since all of us in Florida are spread out a bit, it seemed like the easiest place for all of us to meet up initially. The intial plan was to meet at an exit there and drive up together in one day. According to Mapquest, it is about a 12.5 hour drive from Valdosta to Indianapolis. I know most of us could make it in one drive, but we have to consider what can (and will...) go wrong along the way, especially if Nick plans to drive the '93. :p But seriously, we'll have to make some stops here and there, some people may want to join us along the way, etc. Basically the original plan was take your time to get to Valdosta (or the vicinity) on Saturday, and we'd leave first thing Sunday morning, getting there Sunday night (the first "official" day is Monday, not much going on until the reception Monday evening).
We have two options, do it that way and arrive Sunday night (potentially late that night), or do it that way but stop along the way (Nashville is a bit past the halfway point) and continue for the 4.5 hour drive on Monday... getting us there that afternoon in time to meet and greet everyone and attend the reception that evening.
Let the voting begin...

I've always said that it never hurts to plan a little extra time. But, that's just my $.02.............

BTW, If no one minds pairing up for a room, we can get off cheeeeeap staying just a little north of Nasvhille at a Motel 6. I used to live in a suburb of Nashville... this Motel 6 is very decent and only $30 a night, so splitting that up between 2 or even 4 people is a great deal. Plus, there's a ******* right up the street. :)

No need to be in a hurry. And no matter what, its inevitable to be behind schedule. Hence my vote for 2 days. (BTW, the party idea helped that vote also!)

OK, I feel old. It's really weird, cause I'm used to being the youngest in a group!
By the way, SHO Club has released host hotel and pricing information! There is a registration form that you may print out to check off which events you will be involved in, and mail in with your payment. No hurry, last day to mail in payment is June 30th, which is good, I have another 6 months to save up for the trip, get my car painted and fix the motor mounts and seats. But yeah, check it out at www.shoclub.com and you can get a roundabout figure at how much the trip will cost you.

Just an FYI: I have posted our caravan information up to shoclub.com to be added to the caravan information page. It should be up within the next 24 hours. I will update that information as needed, so any discussion should take place here.

You feel old :omg: Please tell me that you, or at the very least Nick are older than 27, or at least one of you other guys who haven't chimed in yet are older than me. If not, than I guess I'm going to be the old man here, the really old man.
