Shouldn't the Gen3 have more grunt than that? Car seems kinda slow.

kinda what i'm thinking, but the times match what the car review mags list the V8 SHO at. The 130mph run i was actually going down a steep hill between 110 and 130mph.

No misfires, no warning lights, fresh oil change, oil/fuel filter, all new spark plugs, 3 new coil packs (the other 5 are the original ones - maybe there is loss of power there), no mufflers, K&N cone intake, 40 degrees outside. All 3 were done in O/D, but from what i've seen that doesn't make a whole lot of difference, my times on the track were actually faster in O/D than in D.

There is a possibility of a vacuum leak, my EGR return lost its gasket again (this time was my fault). But I haven't checked for any other than that.

Seems like it slows down up around 75 or thereabouts. I should rephrase that and say it accelerates slower than it had been.

congratulations i've already seen another 99 "eat my thing" - as well as several VR-4's, Mustang GT's, Cobras, LS1's, 300ZX TT's.....the list goes on.

My warning light came on again, and their is a significant loss of power now, this just all the sudden, it had been running perfect and then i turn it off and leave for 3 hours, come back and bleh.

5 more coil packs left that are original, i think one (or all) of them is malfunctioning.

the car barely moves above 100, from 110-130 i was going down a very steep hill, i think if i had been on flat roadway i wouldn't have gotten past 120 in that amount of time. It seems very slow to me but I've been riding around in my friends VR-4 a lot lately.

Something is wrong, though I do not know what. My '98 with over 160K on it still pulls strong well past 130. It has been a few years since I last ran it up another 10 or so mph and pegged it, but I have no doubt it will still do so without problems.

You need a long straight run, but they should do it easily. Fine top end on these cars.

my engine light came back on, and i can tell their is a very random and slight misfire on idle but not in gear, and the car feels very fast between 60-120 still (well really i didn't go above 110 but it was moving fast to 110)

not sure what the deal is, gonna try to get to the bottom of this, i think my lawn gnome cast a spell on my car, or is molesting it at night and giving it haunting nightmares, causing it to lose sleep and perform badly. I'm sure that's the problem.

Shipping prices would be too expenisive.

Try telling the gnome that if he/she keeps molesting your car, you'll burn his/her feet. If that doesn't work.... burn its feet.

Hopefully that will work. It did for me at least.
