    they are lean and rich on both banks...I picked up some O2 sensors today...just asking for reassurance...I am selling the car and hate to spend money that doesn't need to be spent, but at the same time i want it running right when I sell it.

    can a bad dpfe cause 172?

    They happened at the same time...1st I will replace the dpfe and then change fuel filter, check fuel pressure, and check for vacuum leaks.

    Motor Oil found at spark plugs!

    mine were like that too...i just cleaned them out for now...you see the oil goes in there, but it never comes out, so when they are full (like mine were) it is caused from a length of time, and not all at once...so if you can't fix it right away...you could just do that. I do however recommend...

    I checked..the wells are still dry, so hopefully they don't full up fast.

    nope...it runs very smoothly...it did before, that's why i was so surprised at the difference the plugs made. The wires look like they're in great shape too. I cleaned out the wells, and I imagine oil only seeps into them and not out, so hopefully they just seep a bit and it took a long time...

    What all should I replace? Would I need the intake manifold gaskets, and the valve cover gaskets? Where do I buy them? What should I be paying for them?

    Amazing!!

    I jst bought my SHO so I decided to do a tune-up. I pulled the plugs out...obviously the spark seal are bad...drenched with oil...I cleaned them out and put some new plugs in anyway....The car is alive now!!! It is like a totally different car...it is so much faster.

    Coolant level sensor

    Mine is't working...the light on the dash is always flashing...coolant is full so I took it out and cleaned it up...but still no luck..how do they work and are they fixable? If not, what do they cost? Are they the same on a regular Taurus?

    Timing belt or chain???

    What is it? I am getting conflicting answers. A mechanic told me it,s a belt, another told me chain, some SHO's I looked at, the owners said that the manual said chain. I have seen 60k services call for a belt...what is it? Thanks guys.

    Where to buy tranny filter?

    I know Ford would have one but, what tranny is in the 93 ATX SHO? I went to the parts store and they had a couple of options...there was like an AOD, AOD-x or somehting like that...which one is right?
