Mine is't working...the light on the dash is always flashing...coolant is full so I took it out and cleaned it up...but still no luck..how do they work and are they fixable? If not, what do they cost? Are they the same on a regular Taurus?

The coolant sensor works buy completing a circuit via the coolant. When there is no coolant in the tank the circuit will be open and the light will illuminate.

The SLOs did not have this sensor.

The most common failure or problem is the two prongs gumming up and losing a good contact area. Take a scotchbrite to the prongs.
