High Racing Idle
The car was not showing a check engine light. I reset the idle and cleaned the IAB and restarted the car and the same problem. The IAB was very clean, just like the engine was at the service. High Racing Idle
Out of nowhere at a stop light, the sho raced between 2 and 3k at idle in neutral and stayed there. It hasn't come down. Car was running perfectly since a 60k a couple of months ago. Any ideas? I don't know how to pull the codes, but I can try to reset idle. It is not really drivable like...- oconnord

60k Answer needed
I know there is no way to be sure you won't have problems but at this time my car is in great condition and runs like a champ. The only thing it needs is the scheduled 60K service. What is the Shotgun approach you are referring to? Are you guys saying that parts of the 60K, like valve lash...- oconnord

Doug: this is an interesting post. I guess I am the guy you are referring to here, but clearly you have missed a couple of things. The car I bought at 58K has never had any 60k service, only a failed CPS replaced. Why would anyone do a 60K 17K after it was done? I posted earlier looking for...- oconnord

Good Wax???
I have used all the meguiar's products, but I have found that One Grand Blitz Wax is the best. It goes on and comes off easily and lasts a long time. T Hex adjustor tool - valve adjustment - is it a required tool?

The SHOShop lists four tools needed for the valve lash, but the Shotimes website lists the source for two: tappet depressor and tappet holder, both from OTC. New Jersey - SHO Mechanic Recommendation
Not so upbeat on the brunswick auto pros that are listed above and on the mechanics hall of fame. Like I said, I took my wife's honda there because I wanted to try them before I sent the SHO. She had a leaking trans line. Replaced $140+. I got a $90 charge for engine computer diagnosis...- oconnord

Fan won't shut off after engine turned off
This morning, I reconnected the battery, and the fan went on. I slammed the hood in disgust and off went the fan. Strange, but at least it is resolved for now. Thanks for all the replies.- oconnord

Anything that I can do to fix without having to take it into the shop - as in tonight, besides disconnecting the battery? I have to drive it to work in the morning. I guess I'll be bringing a wrench.- oconnord

Fan won't shut off after engine turned off
91 sho - it's 20 degrees out, but tonight the fan won't shut off. Temperature in low range of normal. I'll have to disconnect battery to shut it off or I won't have any battery left. Stayed on for 45 minutes after work. I just took it out again and it still is running now after my return...- oconnord
