I am looking to have the 60K service on my 91. My regular mechanic's, and others I have called, are either unfamiliar with the motor or won't touch this project. Can anyone recommend someone with knowledge of is service (including the valve adj.)? I have checked the mechanic's hall of fame on the shotimes website, and went to the mechanic listed (with another car), but I thought he did a lot of unrequested work and I am leary of sending the taurus. Please help if anyone knows. I would consider doing myself if somebody could guide me on the special tools - I have all the basic socket sets, etc. Thanks

I live in Hatboro, PA as my profile states. Where exactly do you live in NJ? I could definetely do the work for you. What services are you exactly looking for?

Doug:
I live in Princeton, NJ. I have a 91 SHO with 75K. I am certain that the original owner never did the 60K service, because he knew nothing about it. The car is in great condition but I guess it needs the whole procedure - belt, pump, Crank Sensor, Valve Lash, etc. I have considered doing this myself but I don't know if I can find the time. Dan

Not so upbeat on the brunswick auto pros that are listed above and on the mechanics hall of fame. Like I said, I took my wife's honda there because I wanted to try them before I sent the SHO. She had a leaking trans line. Replaced $140+. I got a $90 charge for engine computer diagnosis???? Wouldn't remove it from the bill. Also insisted that I replace both radiator hoses because they were original. $140. Just checked the prior owners records, they were replaced 2 years ago at the dealership. Now I wonder whether I needed those valve cover gaskets and seals. $180+. I hate that BS. Should have done it myself - too cold.
