Finally looks like the midwest is going to give us a sunny day this week. Maybe?!, better not jinx myself. Anyways my paint looks horrible after this winter. Anyone have any suggestions on any brands of waxes that are better than others. Thanks Everyone.

I have a black 93 as well...I use Meguires Gold glass wax. I love it...My dad swears by Xymol for his car. Whatever, they cost about the same. Cant go wrong with either one. thumbs_u

Nothing wrong with either of those two waxes. If you want to be cheap you'll even be happy with the results from Meguiar's Cleaner Wax. Hehe, and don't knock it but that NuFinish liquid wax isn't bad at all (the stuff that comes in the orange bottle).

Really, your car will look better right after using any of those quality, yet inexpensive products then it would half a week after using an expensive, Pebble Beach Concours winning wax.

93ATXBLACKSHO,

Start with Meguires clay bar kit, then the cleaner wax, and finish with the carnuba wax.
Using the clay bar on a cold body is not recommended. So, unless you have a warm place to do this, don't.

If you do not want to work that hard, the Nufinish is a one step process that gives good results.

Will someone please turn off this freakin' snow machine in the North East? rangerj

Couldn't have said it better myself. Anyone that's seen my car in person can't get over how great my paint looks.

i use Meguires 3 step precess myself. i love it, it makes the car look clean and shiny. i also add a 4th step. i add a second coat of Meguires carnuba wax in the can, because it gives it more of a slipper feel that step 3 in the bottle does. this summer i will give gold class a whirl as my 4th step.

i am still looking for the clay bar kit. a few of the auto zones and advanced auto parts around here don't carry it.

Only clay bar kit I ever found around here was made by Mother's, not Meguires. I wouldn't use any of their other products, though.

Expensive but Zayno products give a better shine and last much longer than carnuba based waxes. Just be ready to say ouch. eek!

wizards carries a really good line of wax and cleaners for your car.I am a dealer for them at the shop I manage.I use it on the sho and my mustang its about $50 for a big bottle of wax , a bottle of spray wax and two applicator towels that work wonders. just my 2 cents shrug

SHOCLUB's Don M sells some really good products
You can check them out here:www.dccarcare.com

If not that, Zymol or Klasse are two more of my favorites.

I have used all the meguiar's products, but I have found that One Grand Blitz Wax is the best. It goes on and comes off easily and lasts a long time. I don't know if it will work but I inserted a link to a great site - carcareonline.com. Besides all the products they have excellent how-to pdf's on all aspects and products available.
