MTX Transmission Questions
I'm in the same boat as you are...I just had my clutch done and now the tranny is hard to shift into gears 1 through 4. I really have to push/pull hard on the shift lever to get it to go that last little bit. If it doesn't the tranny will jump out of gear when the clutch is released. After...- Mr.Xc

Speedo Head ???
My SHO speedometer head is squealing while driving, more now since it's cold outside than when it first started awhile ago.I have already removed the instrument cluster once and pulled the core from the drive cable in order to grease it. Steering Problem...
My SHO had that same squeek.sounds like a dry high pitched squeal when turning the wheels. First I changed the strut bearings only, This did not fix it. Went back in and installed new upper strut mounts...no more squeak!! I found that the rubber mounts had gotten soft from age and were rubbing...- Mr.Xc

$$$$CLUTCH JOB
My SHO is ready for its second clutch job. First one was at 30,000mi due to an oil leak.(all covered under Ford warranty)Now 100,000mi later it's time for another. My question is...does anyone know the exact way the A.T.C temp sensor functions? It is located in the metal coolant tube that runs between the hose off the heater core and the block? Fuel Pump Line Fittings ????

SHO HEATER
I agree with "PJToledo". Provided everything under the hood is working like it should. My SHO had only cold air once and it turned out to be electric blend door motor behind the dash was only running in one direction. The fix/replacement of this motor requires pulling of entire dash assembly...- Mr.Xc

radiator fan
For what it's worth, on my '92 SHO, the cooling fan only runs when the car has been sitting at a traffic light or at an idle while parked. The auto position on the a/c control head does not make my fan come on as soon as the button is activated. I would say your car is working fine.- Mr.Xc

BAP sensor question...
From my dealership experience....My SHO like yours has a "BAP" sensor, the tube is not connected to anything and it is meant to be left open to register barometric pressure.(hence the BAP name)Other ford vehicles with a tube connected to the sensor,the sensor is reading manifold absolute...- Mr.Xc

Torque Steer
I can agree with the mention of subframe bushings. My '92 SHO mtx would change lanes on the road when the go pedal was mashed to the floor. I jacked up the car and placed the jack stands under the lower control arms, then when I lowered the floor jack, the front of the subframe wasn't even...- Mr.Xc

NO SPARK new coil pack new dis
You mentioned changing the DIS module ......make sure the two plugs that connect to the module are in all the way and that the terminals inside the plugs are clean and free of corosion. If the plugs are out even 1/8 th of an inch the car will not start.- Mr.Xc

Help Diagnose This Squeak

Stalling around 2-3K RPM
To luigisho: By steady speeds I mean 4th or 5th gear crusing 40mph to 55mph with no stops encountered within the last 1/4 to 1/2 mile. I looked at removing the IAC motor for cleaning,how do you get at the lower bolt with out removing the upper intake ?? Thanks for helping.- Mr.Xc
