BAP sensor question...

I was looking under the hood today and have a BAP sensor. It has the electrical connector plugged in but the valve?, or whatever the open tube thing next to it is, isn't connected to anything. I thought I saw another car with a tube coming out of it. Am I missing something or is it supposed to be this way???? If I do have something missing where does it connect from? Thanks.

From my dealership experience....My SHO like yours has a "BAP" sensor, the tube is not connected to anything and it is meant to be left open to register barometric pressure.(hence the BAP name)Other ford vehicles with a tube connected to the sensor,the sensor is reading manifold absolute pressure(hence MAP name) If you look close at your sensor it will have a loose fitting sleeve over the tube so no hose will fit onto it. Hope that helps you.
