I'm facing the task of replacing my rotted fuel
tank. While I'm there I am also changing the fuel pump.(still original at 130k)I have read many posts about members replacing their fuel pumps and was wondering if anyone could tell me if the connectors at the fuel pump have the plastic horseshoe clips or the multi-fingered steel rings? I would like to get all the tools needed before I drop the tank. Thanks in advance for your posts.

Steel rings in the tank. Only the external line fittings use the plastic clips. I used real hose clamps when I installed my 155 lph pump many years ago.
