I could use a bit of help here from those more experienced than I. My '89 has begun running rough, hesitating and sputtering. I did my best to run the codes with the paperclip test. On the engine off portion I got a code 14. I did a search on "engine code 14" and did not come up with any usable...- overthehill

Brake pad mileage?
Hi, I have an '89 that I bought new. It has 175K miles on it now. I still have the original brakes on the front and they still have about 1/4th of the pads remaining. Is this unusual? I have never gotten this many miles out of a set of brakes.- overthehill

3.0 oil pan removal tricks
Hi, I have an '89 that I bought new. It now has 173K miles on it and has been carefully maintained. I have noticed a "rattle" of late at maybe 2-3,00 r.p.m.s. It's not severe but noticeable. Could this be the rod bearings that I have heard so much about? Is there an "easy" way to pull the pan...- overthehill

Cooling fan stays on after engine shutdown
Hi, My '89 has just recently started doing this cooling fan run on thing after I shut it off. I tapped an the IRCM module and the fan quit. I have to assume the swich is sticking in the on position. Are these units available anywhere? Any help on this would be appreciated. I checked the...- overthehill

Trun signal relay testing....
I wonder if anyone can advise me on a procedure to check a turn signal relay to see if it is functioning properly. I know I could just go buy a new one and see if that makes a dif. I just like to be able to diagnose the one I have. Call me frugal but spending $40 for nothing is such a waste...- overthehill

I am new at these codes, can someone help...........
My '89 started running rough quite unexpectedly the other day. I got on the website and figured how to pull codes which I did but I'm not sure how to read them. Engine off i got 11 and 14. Engine on I got 12 and 25. Can I get some help here? Thanks- overthehill
