My switch was out of a 95. Just make sure it is a rear window switch.
I did'nt have to modify the cage at all so It won't matter if you modified it or not. The switch fits just fine and does'nt move around or shift at all.
When you get your switch you will need to take a dremmel and cut...
Contour rear window switch
I did the rear Contour window switch repair about six months ago and it is working great.
I did'nt have to do anything to the cage or grind anything down on the sunroof cover. The hardest part was drilling the holes in the pins, just be paitent and use heat shrink...
Had to go to a salvage yard to pull one off and put it on. I am in shawnee oklahoma,
Thanks anyway, seemed to dangerous to try to drive home.
Guess I'll do the aluminum subframe bushings next...
I went out of town today to visit relatives, on the way we went down a dirt road, after we got back to black top the steering wheel was off...
I thought it might be a worn strut rod bushing so I pulled over and put it in reverse, when I gave it gas there was a loud poping noise from the right...
Did you swap in a good battery?
You could have a bad cell in the battery. A bad cell can show normal voltage
when setting, but when you try to start the car the voltage will drop way down. They can also cause the car to start normally sometimes andnot start at other times. A bad/weak...
The oil level is at full and not overfull right. With new oil it is sometimes hard to tell. If you overfill it to much it will within a few miles blow out a solid billowing cloud of white smoke with a blue hue to it.
ECT causing no start
A failing coolant temp. sensor will cause a no start situation. Most of the time the it will read something wil -10 degrees or some way off number.
If this is the case it causes the engine to flood and most likely you could smell the gas, If you can't smell it outright...
I found this while looking to replace my sunroof switch. It uses a rear window switch from a coutour which should be more that enough as far as amperage and easy to find in a parts yard.

Just have someone push down on the fender and "bounce" the car while you get down on the ground and find the noise. You should be able to touch the suspension and feel the joint that is making the noise. Just don't get your hand stuck or worse...
If you search the forum you can test the compressor clutch for wear. As the car gets older the clutch material wears away and creates to much of an air gap.
If you're just curious, turn on the a/c and wait for the compressor to stop. then with a long screwdriver (some people say a broom stick)...
Check the power steering pump also. My power steering pump is leaking on my 95 and it drips directly on the exhust. I had to clean the lower engine area and let the engine run to find it.
