How to identify the source of a misfire

I honestly dont know. The long side was fine. I could blow air through it easily. The short side made odd noise and had low flow. It lined up with the 4 5 and 6 miss I had initially. I tried to unclog to no avail. Found a new OEM for 10 bucks on Ebay so I went that route. The miss on the front...

How to identify the source of a misfire

I put a new plug in number 2 and moved the coil from 2 to 6. The misfire stayed. My original issue was number 2 injector stuck open. My oil was very washed. After I changed all the injectors I got codes for 4 5 6 misfire. That was due to the blocked Y fuel line. I get no codes now other than the...

How to identify the source of a misfire

That is a very detailed answer. I do have Forscan but I'm not familiar with the $06 mode. I'll research that. I appreciate the input and I'll report my findings.

    Catch can surprise

I am in the process of getting my SHO sorted out. I got a catch can to install and while I was working on my injectors I noticed I already had one. I never noticed it before. I decided to empty it and there was the obvious oil but also about an inch of water/oil milky mix. I have had the car for...

How to identify the source of a misfire

Hey guys and gals. I replaced the injectors on my 2010 recently. Had mifires on the whole front bank. The Y pipe from my fuel pump was clogged on the front rail. I installed a brand new one. Now I show a misfire code on cylinder 2. I did the usual coil swap and plug replacement but it stays...

    New fuel injectors look different

Hello everyone. I appreciate all the help so far. I took it all back apart and everything looked fine. For some reason I decided to check the fuel line from the pump to the rails. Air blows freely from the long side but the short side (the rail I had issues with) flows significantly less. They...

    New fuel injectors look different

Gotta double check my work for sure. I had a stuck injector was the reason I did this.

    New fuel injectors look different

It idles perfectly. My issue really only happens under load. Coil packs was my first thought. I changed the plugs on the affected cylinders and swapped the coil packs around with no effect. Given that I changed the injectors it seems a likely candidate unfortunately

    New fuel injectors look different

    New fuel injectors look different

So I got it back together and the initial drive seemed ok at first. Then all **** broke loose. Showing cylinders 4,5 and 6 misfire and low fuel pressure at start on bank one. What on earth do I check for? I verified the connections and hoses. I'm sad and lost

    New fuel injectors look different

I have a quick question. I ordered new injectors for my 2010 and the inlet is different. I'm apprehensive about just installing them without consulting the gurus here. The part numbers are the same but its very different. The left is my original (they all look this way). Thanks for any help. I'm...

Parts compatibility from 2010 to 2015

Hi all. I came across an abandoned 2015 SHO that I can buy for cheap. I'm buying it as a parts car and I wondered what kinds of parts would work on my 2010 SHO. I know about the engine sensors but the interior and body I dont know much about. If anyone has any insight I would appreciate it.
