Hi Everyone,

Can someone tell me the difference between the ATX & MTX exhaust y-pipe assemblies? I'm trying to find out if I can buy the Magnaflow Direct-Fit Catalytic Converter made for the 3.0L SHO MTX (shown her: http://www.car-sound.com/02product/displaydirectfit01.asp?catalogid=9893&directfit=23355) and have a local shop custom modify it to fit my 3.2L ATX.

Does anyone know if this is possible or do I need to bite the bullet and dish out $600 for Ford Specialists?

Any help would be appreciated asap! Thanks!

:thankyou:

No they wont fit, basically the entire pipe would get hacked up.

If we could get enough people we could do the y-pipes for cheaper...

As Matt said it won't fit.

Just send a deposit into SHO Source to get the ATX Y-pipe Group Buy going.

I wish I had the time to wait but I'm pulling my engine next week to fix some leaks & do a complete tear-down & tune up and I need it sooner to complete my project. I have a horrible exhaust leak from the y-pipe & cats that needs to get fixed and at this point it doesn't look like the SHO Source's will be ready in time. I guess I'll have to order the one from Ford Performance Specialists. Sorry SHO SOURCE!

You could just purchase a couple of high flow cats and take it to a reputable exhaust shop. They could cut your old ones off and put those on for a lot less coin than the FPS part.

Just sayin'.

I'd also be interested in an ATX Y-Pipe if it were available and not grossly over-priced.
