Yes I searched and I know it works but may tap the DIS. What do I have to do to the hood so it wont tap anything? My SHO hood has bad hail damage, this one is near mint and the same color

To answer your question, if it's an atx, it will fit w/o modification IIRC, if it's an mtx you will just need to cut a little piece out of the underhood frame to clear the dis;)

NOt as many here in Monterey w/o driving up to San Jose. And this one was perfect It's a MTX so I guess I'll have to do some cutting.

And what does IIRC mean?

SLO hood on an MTX will fit fine, only slight rubbing of the hood mat on the front surge tank, HD motor mounts recommended, the DIS is not effected.
I did NO modifications to make mine fit, just bolted it on.

SLO hood on an ATX, I would estimate that the DIS may rub, and the front tank may even bulge the hood when closed.

:stupid: I put a SLO hood on my MTX because the old one was *****'d in an accident. It looks way better than the SHO hood IMO. I have no fitment or rubbing issues either, though I do have a reinforced front mount.

I had a feeling I had it backwards. I was thinking about it too because the mtx engine is set back further then the atx and I didn't think what I said made sense:rofl:

Also agreed, SLO hoods should have came stock on SHO's.

And the reverse of the non-SHO hood lines (ie. center slightly popped-up versus recessed) is the "power bulge" hood - like the Gen I Plus hood.

Personally I like the cowl hoods the best, . . . except the hood-lines don't match-up with the bumper cover on any of them.
