As of now the weather is saying snow showers saturday morning. Your snow showers arn't like 12 inches are they lol?

People around here freak out when we have like 2''. :)

And is it chill if I bring some soda.

~Johnathon~

The highways will be clear, don't sweat it.

What time is this party starting?

I was going to be leaving PA around 8ish tommorow. I wasn't sure if I was going to pass anyone and they wanted to caravan up with me, that would be sweet..

Its looking like I'll be taking:

N81
E78
N287
E287
N684
E84
E691
N91
N15
E84

So make a post on here or pm me if you are trying to meet up on the way down. Its allways more fun when you have someone else to drive with....

Jonathan, you can save ~ 20 minutes taking the Merrit Parkway and its much more interesting to drive than 684 (just watch out in the right hand lane for epople jumping on - not much in the way of on ramps) hope this helps - zak

Also 691 would be taken only if 84 is blocked up with traffic, otherwise you are adding another 20 min.

You would be less likely to get lost if you stayed on 84, rather than 84 to 691 to 91 to 84 again . . . . but, I've only driven between MA and NJ about a four hundred times in my life, best to trust the GPS . . .

Didn't mean to offend you buddy.

Just trust me, if I don't go off of the gps, I'm going to get horribly lost and end up in like Vermont or somthing. But I do appreciate your advice, it does seem kinda stupid to get on and off the same route but it would be easier on me to just listen to the gps.

X1000!

Why bother going anywhere near NYC? Less tolls, less hassle, less traffic. If Fred were still around, he'd tell you to stay off the Tappan Zee...

If you were to decide to go I-287 across to NY, I'd normally recommend Rte 15 up the Hutchinson/Merritt/W.Cross. But if CT is getting snow like we're getting in MA, I can bet the Parkway is going to need more time tomorrow to clear snow as well and could have backups. The interstate, then, would be the better plan and go I-684 to I-84.

But doing the route RacerX provided is optimal...

Dude, don't always go off the GPS for EVERY turn. Experiment with it. I stubbornly stayed away from GPS systems for awhile. Being a chauffeur, I have maps for everywhere and usually know where I am, pretty much anywhere in New England and much of the Northeast. GPS sometimes takes you longer routes because they mistake parkways and larger roads for smaller, slower ones. Sometimes GPS can't calculate troubled routes with a lot of traffic.

BUT, GPS also has led me to take certain routes I never would've found. Sometimes I'll take routes I prefer but let the GPS guide me in certain spots. Follow tips we give you and then let the GPS guide you from there. If it's telling you to go I-78 to NY, take I-81N and let the GPS guide you from there.

And if you find yourself in VT, Killington is nice right now...

Okay, if I get lost....... its your guys fault :)

Pulled the Turbo SHO into the shop tonight and went over it with a fine toothed comb. Lord willing I'll be at the shop around 1ish or 2ish. I really am not sure how long it is going to take. I know I'll make crazy time on the highway, but if I hit inclement weather I will be later.

Thanks,

~Johnathon~
