Being busy does not always mean real work. The object of all work is production or accomplishment and to either of these ends there must be forethought, system, planning, intelligence, and honest purpose, as well as perspiration. You all did an AWESOME job building John's Turbo......great job you all , MY HAT IS OFF TO YOU TURBO TECHS ...CONGRATS......Joe

hey guys. I will have the dyno sheets and video up around lunch time. I am happy with the setup, and we didn't want anything to happen to it so we just ran 10 lbs until we put the forged pistons in. then we can really go for some bigger numbers. keep watching, i will put everything up soon!

thats amazing! you guys rock!! drive it carefully back home.how many hours did you guys end up with it..man thats awesome. happy for y'all.see ya round?!

well we worked from 5pm-11pm on friday..stripping down everything that needed to come off, then about 12pm-11pm on saturday, sunday was about 9am to 12am, and monday we had work, so 5pm-12am on that day, and tuesday was 5pm to 11pm, and wed was a longer day setting up the gauges and SAFC and tweecer and putting the tune on the car...so that was 5pm until 1am. on Thursday we left work at 2pm and got to the dyno and did the runs at 3:30, and were home by 6pm, then he was outta here and off to MD to visit another sho member. that was it... someone quick..how many hours is that? I don't want to do the math hahaha! I think we made relatively good time, the tuning went pretty smooth and we didn't have much to fine tune once on the dyno, the guy said it was a very good tune and very safe to drive until we get the forged pistons, so i didn't lean it out any more on the top end..i kept it safe. and thats it!

I saw this set up first hand last night. It looks good. Johnathon said he had a nice ride up last night. He got up early this morning and headed home.

I didn't know you had gone with a side exhaust on his car. It's loud.

Home already Johnathon? You must have missed ALL the traffic. I thought you might get hung up in York or Harrisburg briefly.

I just wanted to thank Ken for putting me up at his house Thursday night. I was really tired on the way back and I really appreciate it. We had a good talk and I got to see his SHO, it looks good! I can't wait to go down for the picnic, we will all have a blast. I hate the traffic though, it sucks.

Thanks again Kens1992mtxSHO

Car drove great back home. Thanks Ashley and Paul! I can't wait to get those crappy injectors out and get a good set. It will run so much smoother. Thanks again.

You're welcome! Sorry I had to work early this morning. We could have done breakfast or something and you could have gotten some more sleep.

yeah sorry that one of the injectors aren't closing when you let off the throttle, that is the only thing that didn't go well with the car, however, it runs fantastic, drives very smoothly, and only pops a bit when decelerating (because of the injector not closing). The car idles great and we even raced a turbo eclipse on the way home from the dyno and john whipped it..it didn't stand a chance. hope all goes well in the next couple of weeks, i think you are going to have a good, reliable ride. I just can't wait to get the forged pistons in that thing so we can really get some boost out of it!

Totally true. The rest of the tune is pretty dead on. I totally agree it is an injector. This is no fault of Ashleys, she was awesome!!!

I drove the turbo SHO home last night. At XX pounds of boost it is surpisingly fast. Easing onto the throttle so you don't spin the wheels and then flooring it, you have to hold onto the steering wheel hard to keep the car straight. The slightest blip of the throttle and the car beside you quickly fades into your rearview mirror. Floor it in the middle of 3rd and you will quickly be doing 110-120.

Well thats all for now. We are going to dyno tune it later today and I'm going to try and get a video up for you.

Johnathon

It's good stuff eh? Boost is good!
