Im going to be tearing my 94 atx down next weekend for some new seals, and want to check the valve lash and such 120k on the engine and its never had anything checked. I was wondering if anyone on here would be able to lend a hand with that as i have no idea what to do LOL I will pay for your services and greatly appreciate it!

Just wondering if anyone has any free time and wants to make some extra cash.

Why do you think you need your valves adjusted? Is your car smoking, or having problems, or have you just heard everybody talking about doing it, and you think you need to do it too? I had a FORD mechanic that specialized in SHO's and Supercoupes tell me that you should never "shim" your valves........said it was the biggest hoax ever! He explained in detail why, and it made so much sense. I've never adjusted any of mine on my 3 different sho's and I've never had any problems.......:thumb:

Back in Michigan ... again.
It's a good idea to check for wear, as wear on the shims could cause problems with the lobes. Also, clearances out of spec can lead to some ticking in the engine.

I agree that it's not necessarily something I'd be all frantic about changing, but if you're cracking it open anyway it's certainly not going to hurt checking.
