******* on the TCCA who blew his engine. ASSUmed he had all welded cams and that they were done properly. He does NOT have a 5 speed v8 SHO. That video sounds more like 1-2-D.

+1. Not only is that car NOT an MTX, it's not even running currently. He has the same name (Shrike2415) on the TCCA.

No, it's not an MTX, nor am I a *******. It was supposed to be an early April fool's prank for the YouTubers, but I knew it would eventually get back to the forums. I'm mainly on TCCA, so I completely forgot to notify SHOForum...

As for my cams, they are welded perfectly, so says Eric Lehmann himself, and the engine failure was a completely freak incident that came almost without warning. Get to know someone before you start talking s*** about them and you may make youself sound more mature.

An April fools joke posted on March 11th. Yeah, that makes COMPLETE sense.

I am not impressed by Lehman saying the cam welds were good.

You sound immature with your response.

When you post the way you do at TCCA, Dan and I can only come to one conclusion. Walks like a duck, talks like a duck, sounds like a duck ... it's likely a duck.

All well and good Eric, but as you well know, there have been cases where the fronts were welded and the rears were not.

Point is he has not brought the car to you, Paul, Kirk, or anyone else the V8 crowd KNOWS of. Who did the welds is still a question.

I am not surprised one bit that the car bit the dust. Seeing as we have many V8's that have lasted a LOOOOOOOOOOOONG time (over 200,000 miles here and now another forum member owns the car), I don't buy the whole freak incident with no warming especially when:

Well, I saw it coming for awhile, I guess. It always was slow for a SHO, but I never knew that it could be the symptom of something this serious. There was a knocking noise coming from what I thought was the cams, but they are welded, so there was no reason that it could be that. I have yet to open up the valve covers to check on them to see if they survived, but I don't think they are hurt. Since the engine is dead and I don't have to worry about killing it myself through tinkering, I'm going to probably tear into it to see if I can diagnose it. It probably has something to do with a hattered piiston, but nothing came out of my exhaust, so I don't know. I'm under a lot of stress right now, so I'll cut this short. I'm uploading a video to YouTube, just becasue I felt like it. I may post the link later.

Basically, I need a new engine. I can't afford one right now, but I know that there's no hope for this one.

Knocking, checked the front cams, nothing about rears, and no action to have the sound checked....

I was under the impression that Shrike brought the car up to you to look at personally Eric; is that not the case?

No Sir, he did not. He started to once, and I believe his trailer broke.

He's called me several times on the phone with questions about this and that & we had a friend from the V8SHO.com group stop by there one day, but I've never seen the car.
From his description of the puddle under the car during our last phone discussion, I'd guess that he threw a rod and put a window in his block kinda like Scott K did a while back.

In any case Bill6639 (I believe he goes by the same name here) has a 96 engine hes looking to get rid of. I'm going over to his place this coming weekend to check out the 96 hes selling. I can give it a quick lookover. I know the cams aren't welded, but beggers can't be choosers.

I'd would be a waste on this guy.

He started about five threads and didn't follow through with the advice on any of them.

Then posted a youtube video blaming the problem on the fact the car is a SHO.
