yey!!! new 93 is knocking

Now i dunno wtf to do, I have access to an 87k mile engine and an 80k mile engine and tranny and im thinking about saving this little girl, but its so damn cold out and I cant do this alone. Anyone got any ideas on wtf I should do? Im not changing the bearings because the engine has almost 160k on it and had antifreeze in the oil so the main bearings are shot too and i can get these engines for the same price i can get the new bearings.

i would say bring her down here and we could swap everything out in the nice heated garage.........but thats kinda a long drive......lol

if i knew the car would make it I would, I have a garage, but its not big enough to swap an engine in. bairly enough to move around with a car parked in it. I have 2 other stupid sho engine in it already, one im building and another blown one (i hate bearings)

yeah ur tellin me, i was warming it up to go get gas in it since the gas in it is old, and then im sitting there listenign to it idle and i call my dad over and i go does that sound like a rod knock to you? He goes i dunno but that doesn't sound good... god dammit your mother is gunna **** me.

i might be able to get you a crank but as for the rods i do not have them. just put new crank and rods in and it will be easier by far then new engine and it will be easier and quicker... **** do it in the car

screw it, id need all new bearings and crap main and rod, its got almost 160k miles on it its not worth it, im going to replace the engine and tranny with an 80k mile drive train if I can get it if not, im not so sure of the future of this car.

I think i'm in the same boat, I ran mine hot today and its sounding like a diesel. Just after putting 600 into it for new bearings and a cv axle. This is too much fun. The begining of a day i didn't want to see. Hoping for the best expecting the worst. Dam winter.

running a sho hot = baddd idea, Bearings might be the least of your problems, you mighta warped the heads.
