ok so i just found an awesome deal on ebay for a bra for my SHO. it says its a full two peice that covers the whole front end. its a "leBra" i dont know if anyone has them on there 89-91 or if the Gen 2's are much different. my bumper cover is a peice of garbage and i want it covered up so figured why not. i think they look pretty good on other cars so any opinions would be great, thanks.

I had a big hole in my front bumper of my GenII. Bought a LeBra of ebay and was very satisfied. It was a lot better fit than I expected and cheaper than getting a new bumper. Looks pretty good on top of that.

I had a Colgan bra, and from what I remember of some LeBra units I've had in the past, the Colgan was a much nicer unit- they both serve the purpose, but little things like how the Colgan fits around the corner lights and stuff was much nicer than the LeBra Elastic straps, unless thigs have changed. Granted though- the Colgan was $100...

A new Colgan will set you back $150, but IMO it's worth it. I have Colgans on both my Gen2s and I love them both. LeBras will get the job done, but they are cheap, ill-fitting and are made of a lesser material. Your choice...

Cheap!

CLICKY

Worth the extra money... I think it is + $20 for no plate opening which is what I had... The LeBra unit is a thinner material, as with any bra, be careful of paint clouding if they do not dry properly, especially if your car was repainted. I always took mine off to wash the car, and mine wasn't out in the rain, but that is becasue it wasn't a daily driver... Headlight blackouts with a front cover looks sweet...

well thanks for all the advice, im glad to hear that cause my bumper cover is a peice of crap. i like those colgen ones are nice but for a buck fifty, thats 3/4's of what i paid for the car so the 24.99 special will suite for now. any one have any pics of either like how they cover?

The LeBra isn't perfect but it does get the job done. And in my opinion I'm glad I went with it over the Colgan. I actually got mine to fit very well and the only bad spot is around the corner lenses, and I don't even think it is that bad, and I'm extremely picky about stuff like that. If your just trying to cover up imperfections and it doesn't have to be absolutely perfect go with the LeBra. If you want it to be a perfect fit and don't mind spending the money go with the Colgan.

I used to think so too, now I just use it for longer trips. It was kind of a phase I went through.

Here are some older pics of my car with a Colgan:

Colgan is, hands down, the best bra on the market. But for what you want it for, the LeBra will be just fine.

Personally, i would rather poke my eye out than drive a car with a freaking cover on the front. Those things look soooooo god awful its not funny! Not to mention, whenever you go to wash your car, you gotta pull it off and then put it back on after the wash. And if you are too lazy to take it off before washing, all of the sand/dirt/grime will stay under the bra and scratch the daylight out of your paint. I wash my cars at least once a week so this gets very tedious to do. Oh, and another thing... Dont plan on keeping that bra on for extended periods of time. Why? Because the bra covers the paint on the front keeping it from the sunlight. After a while, you will notice that the paint under the bra will turn a different color than the rest of the car thanks to the shade that the cover is providing.

Yea, im pretty bitter towards those damn car bras... I dont wear a bra... Why should my car? :p

I personally don't like them. The cover I have on my hood covers a bunch of rust on the edge of my hood. I like the look of the bra better than rust.

If you like the way it looks, you should do it.

I had a LeBra on my 87 Taurus and it literally held the front end together. It was on all of the time, even when I washed it because I didn't care about what was underneath the bra. It looked much nicer than the beat up front end. I wish I had some pictures of it on my computer.....
