Turbo Exhaust ******

I recently installed catted downpipes from stainless works, and when i was removing the stock catalytic converters from the turbo, one of the studs pulled out with the nut stuck on it. i checked out the threads on the stud and they didnt look great, and when i checked out the turbo side as well, whoever had installed it previously had cross threaded it. what should i do? i ended up putting a smaller bolt through the hole and clamp it with a nut, but just so i could limp it to a shop. they said that they might not be able to rethread it because the turbo housing is stainless steel.

the turbo housing is stainless steel.

Not stainless steel. Cast iron or cast steel.

picked it up an hour ago from the shop, the stud that was in there was the wrong threads and the turbo housing was fine, just replaced it with the correct threaded stud
