Gearhead Torque Converter off to texas for fixing. I got it refurbished to go in with the last transmission but it wouldn't fit for some reason and I have officially overpowered the stock one with 33% wgdc. Also picked up a theoretical project to do over the next couple months with some fabrication. If it works it might be the magic component we need for 9s...

Wild I just had the engine out but here we are again lol. I did a pull and the car was not the same after. Found out that the exhaust was loose and thought surely that was it. Tick got worse. Well pulled an oil filter cut out open and found no metal but found black flakes

Now to me a clean filter with plastic in it only means one thing. Timing related

Got her pulled once again and found out the front cam timing chain tensioner was a little messed up and the chain wasn't fully tensioned. Now this blows I had to take it back out again but the timing cover was leaking so that'll be fixed also. Now here is a weird one. Found out that the phasers are swapped on the car. Left head has right one and right head has left one. I don't think it matters but why mark them? Going to double check with ford and see where they are suppose to be because that's WHACKY

Be careful Jordan I believe there's definitely a left and right cam phaser on our engines. The timing Centerline is slightly different. Are there any part numbers on the phasers to identify which is correctly left and right?

Yes, they are literally marked L and R same with everything else on the heads and somehow they were swapped and have been swapped this entire time I've owned the car

Should be up and running today. Rewrapped the exhaust piping, deleted the ptu cooler lines, resealed the leaking timing cover, new vband clamps for the exhaust. Lots of little stuff. Just been waiting on parts
