ive asked around about exhaust solutions and what ive heard is dont do it just keep it stock bc everything is so raspy. ive come to terms with the fact that its a v6 and will sound like one but it sounds like its blowing air more than an engine. would any straight thru mufflers help, perhaps a resonator delete? catless y pipe? lmk

Do you have emissions testing there? Catless may be a mistake unless you want to swap things out before inspection

You would still have to revert it back. Maybe even for annual inspection if they look under the car. If you want a catless y-pipe save the oem in case you need it later.

I'm the wrong one to ask as I don't like the sound of most aftermarket exhausts on this particular vehicle. The only reason to get a carless y-pipe is to spend a bunch of money to try and get a few hp that is not very noticeable without forced induction. So you need a pro exhaust sound person to reply. I only liked borla exhaust on these and really the only exhaust I ever heard that I really liked was the v-8 GenIII version. That car sounded sweet even stock

I have the ShoSource exhaust with Borla mufflers. The tone is low, zero rasp, and without that rasp there really isn't a sense you are running high RPM until you hit the limiter. Granted, mine is an MTX.
Also note, I would suggest the single exhaust, as the dual on mine required reducing tips to get the torque back.
Several people listening externally didn't think it sounded like a V6 anymore.

That is the best thing about exhaust you can cut bend and weld alomost anything together. Even stuff with different size openings have couplers with different sized ends that will mate them together. Only limitations are space

this is a thread about the Shosource exhaust, I don't think they made another run or else you would have seen it on their website. I recall them saying people with ATX cars were able to make them fit with some modification. Unless you can find someone selling their used one or see if you can get them to make another run...

People have run true duals from the heads back (some also had headers made). This goes back a long time. It was never worth it to me to bother with such things. Alot of work without alot of payoff.

If you run true duals you would have to re-pipe from the manifolds. Not a lot of room under the floor for that.
If you use the Stock pattern (larger pipe) SHO Source setup with dual mufflers, swap the tailpipe/turndowns out for reducers from the 2.5" to 2" so you keep your torque up.
The SHOSource/Borla sound has been well liked by local non SHO owners, including some teens that have heard me drive by. The MagnaFlow Resonator deepens the tone significantly, and the Borlas take away the rest of the high tones/raspyness. If I had used three-chamber Flowmasters, the sound would have a bit of rasp, and would help indicate RPM better in my opinion.
I'm not sure the true duala would help the tone without a crossover pipe, and you would have to deal with ground clearances issues.
