Hey guys. So my car died on the way to work today. CEL was on this morning but figured it was fine to drive....about a mile down the road it misfired and stalled out. Started briefly but then stalled again....seems like it isn't getting fuel now. Car was runnung fine the day before...came out of nowhere. Runs for 3-5 seconds and stalls..... anyone experience this or have any ideas?? Thanks in advance!!

Do you garage your car, or leave it out? Either way, if you are also smelling fuel, check to see if rodents chewed through a fuel line. Happened to my wife’s car. I had my sho up on jack stands and had to run to orileys. Same thing was happening. Fine the day before, and then I got stranded in the rain waiting on subaru to come tow her shit. First thought was the pump or the relay went out, but turns out there was a nest, and those little bastards ate up a line. If you can’t smell fuel then you can probably eliminate that cause, but just throwing it out there.

Check with dealer too on pump relay, you might be under recall.

almost impossible to diagnose modern vehicles without a good OBD reader such as the OBDLink MX+ or BlueDriver. that should be considered a standard part of your "toolbox".

scan for codes, but yes the FPCM and in some cases the FPM itself can be at fault. sometimes the HPFP will die. codes will tell you.

always check for codes before attempting restart of an engine when it has died ... if in a safe place to do so.

Thanks man! Turned out to be fuel pump module, quick and painless lol
My 2018 sho was only one not under TSB, SEL and police sedan both has theirs replaced under TSB/recall. My sisters 2013 SEL didn't fall under recall, and of course hers failed. And she had to pay out of pocket.
