Hey guys! I’ve had my SHO for about 3 months now I’ve loved every minute of it but I feel like there’s a better option for me. The Infiniti Q50 3.7 L has a better engine and it sounds meaner. Also not to mention it makes 330 AWHP stock with no turbos or supercharger. Just wondering if there is anything I can do to my SHO to make it sound better, besides straight pipes (already have). Dealership will give me 2 grand cash if i trade my sho in for the q50.

Put a tune on it and it is a whole different animal. You will be about 370 -400 whp but the wtrq is what is the biggest gains.

The Infiniti vehicles have had lots of problems in the past few years. I recommend you do some research on their reliability.

$2k for a sho? Is it rusty and super high miles? Today's used car prices are crazy high... seems like a low ball. I'd go private sale. Shoot I'm tempted to say I'd buy it sight unseen at that price lol

No I would trade in my sho for the Q50 and they would give me 2k cash on top of it.

I like the twin turbo Q50's. They can be pretty fast FBO as well.

They re did the 3.7 in 2015. My buddy has one and he’s had no problems with it. I read online that they can last 250k-300k miles with a tune. Really thinking about it still though since the sho hasn’t had any problems either.

If you're looking for advice, I'll give it. Don't go with the infiniti, not because it's any better or worse than the SHO, though...the NA infiniti? No thanks. I'd want the turbo version, or nothing.

Don't go with a "sorta" better car. Ask yourself, what do you REALLY want? Drive the SHO, put a little into it each year to keep yourself entertained, and sock money away for the thing you really want, like a thumping V8 CTS-V.

I'm rocking the SHO because it's 4 doors, huge trunk, solid Dad car. But make no mistake, I'm socking away money for what I REALLY want...I just need, to, like...make up my mind on that, lol. Ever since it came out, I've wanted a 6th gen Corvette Z06. But...I also really fancy those Chevy SS with the LS3...and I'd super charge it. But then, I also really like the look of the 370Z...but then that was before the NEW Z came out, with the TT V6.

Sigh, so many choices...But I've got time. I'm hanging onto the SHO for at least another 2 years, give or take.

I concur ... especially having an old G35 coupe, and also having driven all the G/Q Sedans as service loaners, turbos included.

The old VQ35/37 motors were top-notch NA V6s of their time, more recent turbo motors quite potent as well ... however none have the V8 punch of our SHOs. Nnno. Not quite as much power potential that I'm aware of either.

That said they are glorified 2+2 or 4-door Nissan G-Cars ... not a bad thing by any stretch. RWD but drove like they're on rails, with no real difference between either 2 doors or 4; same 112" wheelbased FM Platform.

Bottom line, got this coupe when I was single, but even as a family man we opted for the SHO instead of another G/Q ... considered both.

Slightly more room in our SHOs, which are obviously not as roomy on the inside as one would think. Near S Class exterior size, E-S Class Tweener interior roominess. And AWD.

Happy hunting, whatever you get. Because you're not really going wrong with the Infiniti.

Put an unleashed tune, plugs, CAI, MAP sensor, thermostat and a Corsa cat back exhaust on my 2016 SHO PP and couldn’t be happier with the performance or sound.

Any Audi Quattro. They're plentiful and so easy to upgrade performance. When I got my GF her Q7, that was for learning on. Next is a SQ7 or SQ8. 500 HP stock, all-wheel drive, yes please lol. But seriously, you'll figure it out .

Sounds like a plan, Bro.

I can remember looking into that stuff at the time, before all the mostly 3.0 Turbo V6s started appearing. Plus, technology and choices should be way better now, for sure.

I think Vortec and someone else had super or turbo options ... upped it from 280 HP to like 360-370 range, similar torque #s, up from 270.

Keep us updated!
