I got my new torque mounts in and installed them Friday, and drove the car over the weekend and notice that the temp has started fluctuating alot since the new mounts. Before the mountt the temp would hold 203° with mayby 1° of fluctuations.
After the mounts I'm now 208°-210° and when I I'm sitting at a stop light it creaps up to over 248°.
No coolent on the oil and coolent level is fine.
So far I have 170° thermostat, colder plugs, k&n air filter, stainless works down pipes, 3rd cat delete, Anthony torque mounts, and a tune by gearhead.

I'm going to guess it is coincidence. There should be nothing in changing the mounts to change the cooling system. If anything, it should make things more rigid allowing for less flex to disrupt connections. I would suggest checking that your cooling fan is operating as desired. Then I would look at maybe a coolant flush and checking the thermostat to make sure it has not failed. With it rising so much at a stop, it sounds like you are not getting good flow of either air over the radiator or coolant through the system.

Fans are operating correctly and the thermostat is only 6 months old.
I was thinking that it's a complete coincidence as well.

Thermostats are still a mass produced product and subject to failure. Beyond a thermostat causing flow issues, you would have to start looking into things like water pump impeller failure. Do you have coolant flow? Are all hoses getting warm? Are there symptoms beyond the temp reading of overheating? Could it be a bad sensor?

Coolant level is good?

Here's my theory...as I experienced this as well...it wasn't burped properly when that t stat was done, and the increased vibration of the more solid mounts has helped a bubble up through your cooling system. Check your coolant level.

Yep, I agree with this.

Should be no burping of systems nowadays as we have new tooling that allows for complete filling of the system.

I thaught about this to, but it doesn't make a lot of sence in the long run. A bad motor mount can actually cause overheating by letting the engine move and pinch off a line. While adding the soild mounts not let the engine move but you feel it more though out the chassis

Coolent level is good. I have been checking it daily.

Yes, I have had no problem with my heater.
Hmmm. We got us a medical mystery, then.

Does it get hotter faster under load, like an uphill climb, etc?

I mean, the t stat could be faulty, getting stuck...but I think they're all fail safe, these days...plus, you'd have erratic heat.

Try bleeding the system. Been there. Follow instructions from shop manual.

My vote is an issue with the pump, I had my timing chain replaced last year (2015 with 70k at the time). Tech said it had stretched way past the ability to tension.

That is what I am starting to think.

I changed my coolent Sunday and now the car is staying 185-200°f under highway cruzing and get up to 215ish under hard pills. However if I let the car sit at idle it will fluctuate from 205ish to 235ish but no hotter.
