I have a 15' SHO PP. The car mostly sits and only goes out for fun. It has 11k miles on it .
Never been to the track, but recently picked up a Dragy and made a few runs with it.
The car has a GH AO tuned for E30. PPE catted DP, GH Intercooler, XDI HPFP, GEN 2 trans mount. Airaid intake. And the basics, 160 t-stat, plugs, etc.
I sent in a few logs to Matt at GH and he said the time looks great, but I'm out of turbo. If I want to go faster, I need upgraded turbos.
So... A few questions... On the Dragy, my best runs are consistently 12.2x @ 111.xx. does that sound about right for my current mods? It's there anything else, bolt-on wise, I'm missing?
Second, I live in NE Pennsylvania (Bloomsburg/Pottsville) and if I purchase the upgraded turbos, the install is beyond me, can anyone point me to a reliable shop, or other member who can help me with the install, and I'll pay for the help?
Thanks, as always guys!!!

Chad

That's about right if your full weight and on the stock intake. The EPP intake will get you a little WG% back. The IC took a bit from you on the WG but if your going bigger T's the IC will be your friend again. If you go bigger T's you will at some point need the EPP hot pipes or pay close attation to the stock ones for leeks.

Thanks, yes, I'm full weight and 250 myself.. I will definitely consider the hot pipes and EPP intake. Turbos are definitely coming, but I just went to the HPFP and E30 tune in the last 2 weeks and wanted to be sure I'm going in the right direction and everything sounds right, thus far.
I appreciate you time,
Thanks!

I'm running same mods as you except i have epp intake and msd coils on stk turbos.. My car
performs really well just went over 60k this morning.. We are fortunate to be closer to sea level
for optimal performance.. I have Matts e30 tune and Brads e30 tune both are killer.. I do prefer
Brads at the track its about a tenth quicker.. My car usually runs very low 12.o's to high 11.90's.
So Check into the epp intake and get a revision from Matt and see what the difference is and then step up to the turbos.. Myself im waiting to do the water pump and turbos at the same time at the dealer i work for under warranty.. LOL. Good Luck.

Sounds good and thanks for the advice! I've never raced this car on a track. When your running these times, with these mods, how are you launching? In sport mode, advance Trac off and what RPM are you leaving at? I try to leave about 2200, but I know I'm losing a lil time on the continental's spinning.

Thanks!

My car is a non pp, But i do turn off traction control and put in sport mode and let it do
its thing. 2200 hundred is good. What i do is shallow stage when the tree is activated i start giving
it throttle and boost it up to about 2200 and let it eat.. I try to be in the 1.7's sixty my best is 1.70
on conte dws.. This is full weight 4490 with me.. I'M 255 my self.. Its a fun platform and people can believe how fast it is.. I take down a lot of big hp cars on stock tires..

Ok, that sounds like it's where I need to improve.. looking at the Dragy, my 60' times are all in the 1.9 second range. Thanks again for taking the time to help out!! Be safe.

1.9 on the street is decent, I don't think I've ever seen a 1.8 on dragy on the street. I launch around 2k on street, about 2200 at track. When the temps are in the low 50's I can usually get a 12.0x full weight on the street. At the track it will dip into the high 11's.

Good to know, thank you. Does tire pressure make a difference on 60' times on Street tires? Tires are at 35psi. Just trying to work out any improvements. If they were aired to 32 or 30, would it make a difference?

A year ago I would have said yes, but this year at the track I have been experimenting with everything from 38 down to 22 at the track and haven't seen a bit of difference in 60' or 1/4 times.

Every car and setup is different tho, so you're best off trying lots of launches at each setting and keeping written records so you can go back and look.
