This DEKA battery I bought from them went bad in less than 6 months. The warranty/replacement unit they shipped me just arrived and the negative post is bent, bad, and both posts look like they've been beaten with a freaking hammer. These assclowns are charging me shipping and there is nowhere I can find to actually speak with anyone. ***? Does anyone have an actual contact number or email address for them? I'm so ****** right now.

I cut back on using them because mistakes and returns are a PITA. I pay a little extra for local. I learned this the hard way 15yrs ago

Think I want to install this in my car? What kind of ***** sent this in the first place? Did it fall off of a building? I guess this is why it arrived a week late? I think I just might have to try my luck with O'Reilly or someone local.

Just one more before I attempt to chill for the evening... Look at that negative post. Think it will be safe to run? Haha!

I wouldn't trust it. Looks like it was pounded the F in there or dropped about 3 stories posts down. Maybe that's reliable but no way to know for sure
I've received parts from NOS Ford inventory that look like that. All beat to **** and put back on the shelf. Probably the last one and they hope you'll take it and shut up.

This is not a RockAuto issue, this is a shipping issue. Certain things like batteries that are heavy and dense are not good items to have shipped via UPS or FedEx because of how they handle packages. If you have every watched a video of their package sorting systems, you will quickly realize that stuff gets banged around and dropped from time to time and no matter how well a battery is packaged if it gets dropped its going to be a problem.

Be that as it may, I'm still stuck with two defective batteries and Rockauto has no email, phone, etc. to contact anyone about it. Their warranty return process is garbage. If the same issue arises with Amazon, they will ship you a new part and pay for return shipping AND give you 30 days to get the defective part back to them before charging you. ****, you don't even have to box the part back up. Just drop it off at Kohl's and they take it from there.

When I ordered the first battery, Rockauto's price was lower than anything I could find on Amazon, even after shipping. Looks like I should have paid a bit more up front.

Their corporate hq phone number is listed on their website
Give it a ring and let me know how it goes.

Also, their part cross reference system *****, hard. I have a 1986 SVO. If I want parts for it, I need to search under a 1989 thunderbird turbo coupe. It's not like they had the exact same engine, electronics and pretty much everything else you sell for them. TPS for a 1986 SVO? Out of stock/unavailable. 1989 T-bird? 12 options available.

Conversely, I'll get emails from them for closeout pricing on parts for my 1986 Mustang SVO. I have a shelf with **** I bought from them that never fit my SVO. Evidently, a 2.3 Ford from 1979-1993 all use the same belts, IAC, ignition coil, etc. I guess I have the pleasure of storing parts that you didn't want now. Because sending them back would cost me more than throwing them in the trash.

there is a whole lot of ranting and raving against rock auto.
And the worst part is, everything you've said, most of us have experienced.

Hello,

We apologize on behalf of the shipper. You can easily set up a return/exchange of the battery via our Order Status & Returns page. This information is also on the order and shipping confirmations you would have received via email.

Thank You!

Haven't had any issues with RockAuto, although I've only ordered 1 wheel bearing from them.

With something as heavy as a battery, I'd feel more comfortable just going to your local auto parts store.

This is still a rockauto issue most certainly.

They used to have customer service and you used to be able to speak to someone on the phone when you had an issue. Now they literally have no customer service because they thought that would be better for them and they literally don't care about the customer. There is no way, shape or form the new system was better for us. Years back when they switched from this I got someone on the phone but it was at corporate and there was nothing he could do for me.

Im still so cheap I will order from them but not as much as I used to and I don't recommend them to anyone anymore. If someone showed me a company that was comparable in pricing to them i'd switch, but I have yet to see it.

I've ordered a couple of parts from them w/out issue. I tried to locate a phone # one time when I had a question & was never able to find one. I probably won't order from them again.

Same. Used to have a contact number but they don't utilize that anymore. If I order I know it's a gamble of cost savings vs possibility to have issues. Mostly don't much anymore

Speaking of shipping... *** is up with delivery time for FedEx? The replacement for the replacement is showing 10 days to arrive. All the stuff I order on Amazon is here within two days. Is this the situation for everyone else right now?

Even though what I said is the truth I still order from them more than anywhere else. The new return system works, but there are certain situations where you would've had an entirely different outcome had you spoken to a customer service rep.

In all honesty nowadays i'm more inclined to use alldata to find the OEM part number then buy an OEM part on ebay. I wish I had a copy of the ford dealer part lookup software like I do for my Audi.

I haven't noticed anything particular with fedex and i've received a number of packages within the last month. Their next day air through summit has also been on time.

When things got bad I think USPS first class was most effected. I ended up having to refund customers on ebay because the items took so long to arrive. When they were eventually delivered do you think one of the three people paid me?
