I was looking for a comparison to my high mileage 2011 I bought new to figure out what I could get for it as I want a Vette. It has 146k on it but looks very nice and drives very, very, well. My sil drove it from 60k to 140k. Almost all highway miles. I never believed in the highway miles thing as truth but it really exists. She had the brakes done once! I got it back from her as she was going to trade it in and I said, "Don't clean it or anything, just hand it over." She did. She had been carting her grandkids around in it for three years. It was a mess but is now looking great!

Anyway, I figure the car is worth about 4500 at the high end. I'll never sell it for that. I could part it out and get twice that.

The car has been lowered with H&R(?) lowering springs and higher rate anti-sway bars, etc. AirRaid Airbox, Corsa, and a tune from Livernois (4+ of course) I put in in 2012. Never a hiccup w/ this car. It drives like it's on rails.

Every dealer she took the car to for service told her to bring it back when she wanted to get rid of it! When I got the car back from her I took it to get some tires. Needed two. They tried to sell me 4. No.

The whole shop swarmed the car though. When I came back for it they had it all figured out. The car was a secret Ford project that virtually no one knew about. Like a COPO Camaro. I had taken the rear SHO Ecoboost emblem off for stealth and they were convinced since it wasn't badged up it was a secret project. I bet the tale has grown longer and better since. Like how it had 4 turbos or something like that!

Just thought I'd share. Taking it to Milan Dragway in Milan Mich this summer for sure. I'll post times when I do. The car doesn't smoke and has no blow by. I love it.

P.S. I got rid of an automatic CTS-V Sedan that was modded by my old shop (560hp/605tq to the tire). The SHO's have way more usable power than the Caddy. I like the drive better all the way round. As an added bonus you don't have to put gas in it EVERY TIME YOU DRIVE IT!

Cool! You must auto-cross. With the suspension mods I've made the car handles extremely well is what I was trying to say. We've all had very good handling cars. I've had drag cars too. The mantra in that genre is, "If you're not breaking, you're not pushing your car to its limits." You breaking stuff? That's the true test I think.

As long as it runs, I will give you $100 more than you think it's worth - $4600.

Also, what part of Indiana you from?

I am located in Winchester, near Richmond and Muncie on the Ohio line. With you mentioning going to Milan I figured you were near Ft Wayne.

Also, $4700 is a damn good deal, the owner should have just gave it away... er ... if that's how the maths work.

Made a mistake on the strip. It's 131 Motorsports Park located in Martin Mich. I got it mixed up with Milan for the obvious reason Milan is always in the news so to speak. 131 is 20 minutes from my buddy's lake house.

Woah, where are you getting $4500 from? I have an identical 2011 Kona Blue SHO, with even higher mileage (168k), 402A + ACC and it also drives perfectly, although mine is bone stock. I was figuring it would be worth closer to $7500 based on a couple comparables here in Minnesota. For example - here's another one with 153k on it at a dealership and they are asking over 9k for it.

I wouldn't give up on it so easy :) Although, I'd be happy to trade :D

LMAO! That's a duplicate to my car. I was going off of what I had seen on cargurus or something. I'm not disagreeing with you as to the price here. I looked again and they're in that ballpark. Everything is relative. One man's cheap is another man's King's Ransom. I thought my car was worth about 12-15k.

Thanks for providing the link. I wonder what that dealer paid for that? At $9370 they probably paid around 7k for it or less. Like I said, "These cars are cheap!" Just not free, as in $4500 free. I'll never sell my Taurus. It's too much fun. I did at one point give it to my Sister in Law. She drove it 80k. Nearly all highway. When I got it back it just needed to be detailed in a big way.

I bought an 09 CTS-V w/ low miles at a good price. Sold it after three years and got the Taurus back by luck. Heard she was trading it in. Grabbed it back. The Caddy had way more power but it wasn't in the usable areas. The SHO drives better in my opinion. Usable power throughout the rpm band. Also, it's 17ish mpg vs 10 for the Caddy around town.

My car has every option except Nav. The massage seats are hilarious. Same goes for the paddle shifters. I remember when I bought it new I laughed at that. Oh, and the F1 tires? On a Taurus? Damned expensive. Replaced w/ all season tires somewhere down the line. I was running Hancook snow tires as we used to run them street racing because they hooked.

These cars are a blast. No dramatics off the line. Just gone! A chirp into second. I highly recommend the Livernois tune. I've been running one since 2012 (?) w/ zero issues.

Another great thing these cars do is go through snow. I remember one time it snowed eight inches while I was at work downtown. I got off the train, got in it, hit the wipers and drove out of a drift. I can't say enough about these cars.

The pic is from the day I bought it for my wife as a Birthday present. She said she wouldn't have bought it for herself so it should be my new DD. She didn't like the tie I bought her either. I lowered the car in the next month. The pics really show the difference.

Was all about Fords but now I like all of them. Just took 48 years for me to understand all are beautiful in there own right.

I've had all shades of cars. Except for the high end and Euro stuff. All my musclecars were non numbers matching on purpose. So I could run the shit out of them. If it's fast, chances are I owned one. I'm in my late 50s and am trying to own all the cool stuff I couldn't own earlier in life because of family, etc. This is a 1971 LT-1 car. Not stock. At all. Eye candy!
