crowd funding on car parts without no more than a photoshop merger rarely works. Especially given ED's track record with vehicle modifications.

The whole concept just didn't make much sense. They wanted to use the OEM light strips for the lights, they wouldn't make cutouts for the bumper sensors. I honestly think we would've gotten a bumper that didn't look anything like what was actually intended. No way I would put a deposit down the way they set it up in the emails. This thing was set for failure from the start.

Sadly, I did some digging and this is what I came up with. Asked him the question we all were curious about and this is what I got .08887ea490a740b2a3d98f7761486686

It’s a shame, when I reached out a couple months ago I was told that I wasn’t included in the first group of buyers but I don’t understand why that group wasn’t expanded when people started falling through. I’m sure out of the (let’s round because I can’t find the Facebook post) 100 or so people who emailed about the project we could have found at least 20 actual backers who were ready to throw money at it. I’m upset I wasn’t included even after trying to follow up because I’m in need of a new front bumper and I thought the restyle would be a nice little upgrade

Maybe it’s me but, a company should literally make one....could be anything...not even specifically this front bumper....but if a company has everything needed at their disposal...how much does it really cost them to make one of one? So make one of one.........if there’s interest make a bunch. I’ll admit don’t have much interest in putting down a deposit on something that “might” take off. I don’t want to wait...for weeks. Once money has been paid I want my stuff...yesterday. I can be patient but once I pay I am the least patient version of myself. By the time I’ve paid for something I want...I’ve already put in weeks, months or years into that moment I’m forking out the money. I think these “put a deposit down” plans are not realistic for ppl.

It’s the damn “sleeper” mentality. It turned off any interested in aftermarket exterior styling and let’s be honest, overall there isn’t a bunch of performance aftermarket, from day one of the re-release of the SHO in 2010. **** even money can’t get you what you want....it’s like making one of one is hard to come by...some places don’t have any interest in making one of one if they can’t foresee selling hundreds or thousands of parts. I think it’s the damn “sleeper” stigma of the platform. **** if you buy a Kia Optima you can probably find a full CF diffuser and splitter...it’s insane...and the only sense I can make of it...is Ford made everyone think we didn’t want that stuff bc it’s supposed to be a “sleeper”. Dumbest idea ever thought of.

Well revised. Maybe I sounded harsh on the sleeper thing being dumb. I’m just mad that it appears that idea is why there isn’t anything. There’s plenty of sleepers out there. To me a sleeper is a car that is in stock trim or barely anything different about its appearance and it’s balls to the wall faster than it should be...so we never needed to brand ourselves a sleeper sedan.

Yep, but would be nice to have multiple retailers make stuff for our cars. Like you have a stock slow ass brz the make soooooooo much stuff for would be nice of we could even get like a 1/4 of what some of these cars get in my opinion the taurus is a very good looking car but

I also wish there was more aftermarket support for our cars but I think it's because people's perception about the taurus is still stuck in the past when it comes to thinking what the taurus is today. When I first got my SHO and was telling my friends that I traded my modded Infiniti for a taurus they're like a taurus??? Why? They all thought I bought their grandparents old taurus, and I'm sure this is what nearly everyone was picturing when I said taurus.02957d22868a9ddbd7278a622705838d

Sorry for the false hope, but turns out the project has been officially declared dead by Extreme Dimensions. The GT500 fiberglass hood is still available though.

I was talking to the guy on Facebook who tried to organize the whole thing and he messaged me an email saying they will try again. I got that message on the 27th. Sucks we wont get another aftermarket option.
