So I've decided to keep the SHO, and I've got it back on the stock suspension. I want to go lower this time, but the front is at a good height already. I just need the back lowered a bit. Do they sell the rear springs individually or do I need to get a whole kit and just use the back? It's at least an inch and a half higher in back, even with the lift spacers removed.

Everything you need to know about cutting the springs is in the link above.

When cutting more than a coil, it isn't a bad idea to grind off the top, to make a flatter mating surface (for less chance of noise issues. With less than a coil off, and the link above stated, is this a non-issue?

I didn’t browse the link but a short video from Detroit Spring explains what springs you can and cannot cut, and how to do it. Don’t recall anything about trying to make anything flat. Just stand the spring up, measure the total length.

Whatever you want to reduce the ride height by...cut half of that off the coil. So if you want to do a 1” drop, cut 1/2” off...so you would measure half inch down from the spring, mark it wherever that lands on one of the coils, cut, install...get in the trunk and jump around..get it to settle...should get exactly what you want.

I cut mine. I believe it was either 1/2 or 3/4 of a coil and car is dead nuts level since. No difference in ride or handling what so ever. Mine is a PP car.

Just found my old post. Here is what I wrote.

Done! Cut off half a coil on each rear spring from my PP. Car now sits perfect. 1/4 inch higher in the rear. Didn't even have to put in the rear camber bolts. Fell within spec for now. Car looks much better and rides the same. No complaints so far. No regrets! Took maybe 1/2 hour to accomplish.

I did eventually have to install the rear camber bolts. Not sure if something had changed but made adj easier.
