I'm looking at ordering some H&R springs or Megan coilovers. I cant decide between the two! Anyone have any insight for me?
Not familiar with the Megan, per se, but every set of coilovers that I or friends have had have always been sprung a bit too stiffly. And I like stiff suspensions.

OTOH, coilovers will let you play with the ride height, which H&Rs will not.

For example, on a previous car, I set the height on the coilovers to just clear the rack at my favorite car wash. My current car has H&Rs, and I can't take it through that wash. Newer car washes, like another one down the street, have lower racks (but the wash is 2x the price!).

I'm personally not a huge fan of any of the commercially available coilovers for our platform. They're cheap and chinese, with not much adjustability and even on full soft right really rough to me.

I have been on H&Rs for 2 years and no regrets.

Sounds like springs are the better and cheaper option! I’ll be ordering a set soon!
Definitely worth it, especially for the cost of them

Precisely ... not too bad @ stock height, but night & day when about 1.5" closer to the road.

And as said about Curtis Haley's (at the time) 550hp SHO: "You'd never know it from looking at the car, but the drop banished most of the car's body roll and nose dive."
As well as any torque steer (though I never truly felt any), especially with traction control off. A real joy to drive ..... hard!

Let's do it! Info in my signature.

I'm may well be in, too. Have been thinking about it for a little while, and it seems a no-brainer. I mean, don't need it, but if all this so-called "stimulus" money is going be thrown around? Might as well stimulate my EcoBeast sooner than anticipated.

Anyway, have done some research on your website and am leaning SCT Custom Tune for my 2016, adding an SCT X4 Programmer.....some time in the not to distant future.
Some technical assistance may be needed, however, assuming it gives me fits :cussing:like Forscan did. Admittedly, not the most tech savvy.

Much appreciated, FiveLeeter918 ... take care.

Awesome.....good to know, or shall I say relieved to know. Quite frankly, that your support crew won't let me screw this up.

Truth is - as crazy as it may sound - trying to get the SHO, which weighs right around 300 lb. more, to give that brutal shove or kick in the back like the 2009 C63 AMG below does. But unlike how the RWD monster seems to enjoy trying to **** me and/or put me in a ditch. No bueno.

Still, the old, extinct, M156 6.2 V-8 remains a very violent powertrain with only about - I say underrated - 450 hp ./ 440 lb. ft. And while I'll never match the beautiful sound, with the SHO AWD (TC off) thinking I might be able to match or possibly even exceed the C63's performance.]

At 4040 lb. , RWD, 0-60 in 3.9, 12.3 @ 116 to the quarter ... probably not considered supercar-fast by today's standards, with the power wars taking us to minimums seemingly around 600 hp with AWD.

However, I think getting well into the upper 400s might do the trick for us. You know, basically SRT Hemi power.

Otherwise, you have a good weekend and thanks again helping us performance-****** SHO owners get our fix.

:salute:

Yes sir, those numbers are pretty easy to achieve with dowbpipes and E30. Intercooler and meth can get you into the 11s with a little WR.

I finally did it, pulled the trigger on some new lowering springs to I don't make the car not handle such like a boat? but anywho the springs actually feel pretty good, just a bit bumpy, the car definitely handles alot better if im being honest, putting in some before and after pics down below!B6b1da727ec97852f07ae2025879500eE047c25bcfde1cb3ba18a5520183224621e9ab042786c9a5a4f3f8ac6749aecaD05fe7c35c6063bacc58134d8753226c1865204e4791e7a1870333ca50f6d144D0e49486f7b05b8854ed63279f656c19

Is it possible to just add the lowering springs to the rear since it is more elevated than the front?
Of course its possible but then you'll be riding around with a Carolina Squat...Da7d70ec03d8a382c959f59d7b4970fe
