I'm wanting to run 275/40 R20s tires on my car and have been told not to put them on the stock 8" rims (which is a bummer because I like them and everyone comments on how much they like them also). Why couldn't Ford just give us one more inch to work with?

So I'm searching for an aftermarket set and need to know what width 9 or 9.5" and what offset to run so they don't rub with H&Rs?

This is what I got, 275/40 R20 on 9.5" ET40 - H&R Springs.
No issues.

If only we all had 1 more inch...

You can always send your wheels out to be widened, or there are a few aftermarket options that are very similar to the stock flowers.

I personally run Mustang wheels on my car and love them. The +45 offset looks great with 275s.

This is what I got, see my signature.

Is the ET 40 stand for +40 offset?

These look very similar to stock

I like these in the virtual chrome also

I like the two-tone of these, you'd think they'd weigh less than the others by a lot?

I like the weight of these, just wish they had a two-tone machined face

I can get Discount Tire to price match also

I'd love to find some that are the black chrome finish, has anyone seen a set that fit our cars?

Are you running a staggered setup? Or do you just run four “front” wheels?
Also are you using wheel stud adapters and hub centric rings?

It looks like you only needed an extra 1/2"

19x9.5 +35 w/ 275/54r19s on H&Rs, rubbed a tiny tiny bit when the tires were new but they don't anymore.

I was told the stock rims are 8” and I need a 9” min according to the manufacturer’s recommendation. Otherwise wise I’d see if Discount Tires would put them on. They did put a larger size on my van for me with no worries other than rubbing when I turned and came out of my driveway.

I run 20x9.5 +35 offset with 275/35/20 tires and I’ve got quite a bit of wheel gap with H&R springs. I ran them with my spacers off for my Record Run but other than that I am using 1” spacers as well 90% of the time 8B08FB06 047F 429B B066 691921A55EE98ABB3695 D23B 4FAF B95B F8337921FDFE 87F96D9D 19CB 425A B50D 7B88B4CD04F8

Imagine if you just include that 1" spacer into the actual offset of the wheel itself. Same wheels, same size but offset of a 10 instead of 35 (1"=25.4mm). Man those rims would be so concave and look even more mean AF...lol

Looks good!

Such a dope tire...I am chompin at the bit for some drag radials but just can't find any that will give me the height I need....they are all too short of a tire...

And you're at 9.5...might as well go for the big 10...lol

Thats only 1/4" wider on each side...if you go with a 20x10 with offset 15, you'd be right where you're currently at on the outside with a 1/2" closer on the inside (you very likely have the room back there).

And THEN, while you're shopping for 20x10s with 15 offset, you MIGHT AS WELL go for the lightest out there...reduce that rotating mass...and put some Volks or Advans on it, lol...

20x10s at about 20lbs each wheel....soooo light....

I would too...I just don’t want to spend 3k on wheels! Idk if I could find something in the 1500-2k dollar range for something halfway light. Lighter than 28.5 which is whah I got now wouldn’t be bad. Then I would sell my wheels and tires
