Got up under the SHO today got the rear differential opened up , had to un hook the exhaust to carefully slip on the rdu cover after putting the gasket on , cleaned it up nicely . Local dealer didn’t have the motorcraft gear oil till morning so I hand torqued everything up and left the SHO on the ramps overnight to seal the cover on . All I had was some mobile 1 80w90 Laying around so I’d rather wait for OEM .Question does anyone use slip lock when doing this RDU maintenance??
That's what I was thinking about sealing it back up. Tight quarters. Nice pics!Looks good. Can’t believe you fought around that hanger. That had to be a pain.
How was the fluid and the bottom of the diff housing? Shavings, crud, etc?
