Also how complicated will it get? subframe, transmission, 4x4, the whole kit and kabutle!!

Or you could do a rotary swap. Seen a rotary samurai do a 7.7sec 1/4mile in new jersey last year. Have video on my phone but cant get it directly uploaded as usual. Did find it buried in youtube, lots of fast cars kept out of the public eye.

Have you seen underhood dimensions anywhere? I haven't had eyes one on in a while. Anything is possible but how much do you want to tackle a project that starts out without enough space to fit the powerplant?
