Certainly Matt should send you a revised tune for the TU. I was advised from my tuner AJP Turbo not to drive around much after TU and certainly not to get on it UNTIL we started tune revisions. Basically I drove it slow and curious home from the shop. If not meth or e30 you'll be missing out for sure on additional power, and if you don't have an upgraded HPFP.

But as far as turbos are concerened, you're basically done. These hogs will be on a tight leash with the stock motor/trans. With that said it's hard to say how much power you (can) gain with these turbos as they are too powerful to put on full blast.
Yes I'm on the turbo tune from Matt with hpfp. Just needs some tweaking. The car is already running harder after some miles are on it.

I'd love to run E85 but its only at one station here and its constantly sold out so I don't want to have to keep flashing tunes on this daily. I also travel on business where its unavailable so it's just too inconvenient changing tunes on the road.

I don't know what your goals are but you might want to take a look into meth injection. I can't get any E85 here. I've been 93+meth for 3 years + now. You got the HPFP so you don't need the extra fueling, which meth is fantastic for. But the extra octane and cooling alone it's worth it.
Don't get me wrong, GH turbos with HPFP on 93 I'm sure rips! But if you're like a lot of us.....you'll want more.

I'm sure you are right about wanting more particularly if Matt can't safely take it up a notch on gas.

It's a very expensive upgrade after installation and taxes etc but at least I've now done every upgrade I can to make it a powerful and reliable daily on gas.

My goal is really only to get the seat of the pants rush when I mash the throttle. Hopefully when E85 is more widely available I can easily crossover to that or maybe meth as you suggest if the gas thrill factor dissipates.

To run E30 you dont need either of those.

I run E30 on a bone stock fuel system.

Interesting. I'll have to check with Matt as I thought that even with the hpfp you also need the lpfp or at least its optimal to have it.

Not on E30. When you go up into the higher Ethanol percentages you have too. I want to run E54 (because that is what comes out of the pump here in PHX) so I would have to upgrade the LPFP at that time.

Matt has provided dyno results on e30 with essentually the same gear as in my signature of about 500 as I recall. On gas I'm not certain.

When it is said and done. I would guess 440 hp and 500 tq.

So a drop of about 60 hp from e30 ? I should actually ask Matt.

Depending on timing and quality of fuel. A higher percentage of Ethanol content will always have more potential to make more power, if you have the fuel volume (which you do).

As of right now, I have not seen an SHO hit the 500 AWHP mark at the wheels.

EDIT: I have only seen BPD's SHO hit 500 to the tire. His was a full build.

I am talking about a full bolt on, GH turbos, XDi- xx HPFP, stock long block car.

Do you guys daily drive your cars? I'd love to push 500 AWHP but I also want to use it to take the kids to school, then embarrass a muscle car later that day.

I have an older F150 that was supposed to be my daily driver when I got my Mustang. Each morning when I left the house I always ended up in the Mustang. And that's how I ended up selling it for the SHO. After driving something with power I have a hard time driving anything else.

Matt has...

I probably can at the next dyno.

Edit: Matt purposely caps the power to under 500awhp unless you have upgraded rods and pistons. He said at 475 awhp “you are already pushing the internal components..”

Never seen Matt post any SHO dyno sheet with 500 to the tire. I have seen BPD's and Mike's Flex, but not another SHO. I would love for him to post some stuff. I have seen a couple of GH turbo upgraded cars with XDi make 460 to 480 hp, but not the magic 500 hp. If he is worried about kinking rods, I get it. I would **** the tq at the bottom, and let it eat on the big end.

You have the capability BJ, but you have stated in the past you don't have any intention to push any further than the 484hp you have posted. I respect that.
