Hey guys, looking to purchase an SHO soon. I know I want at least a 13 with the PP as it's a large upgrade over the 10-12. Same reason that I bought a 13 Flex and 13 F-150 as well. Were there any changes for the 14 or 15? I'm not really wanting to go newer to keep costs down (purchase, insurance, registration). Thanks for the help!

There really isn't a difference except, in 16 the Mytouch was upgraded to Sync 3. Everything else is the same. It does seem the 13's were the ones that had the most options however.

Edited for Sync 3 year.

I didn't think there were any differences besides just the change to Sync 3, which I know you can upgrade do if you'd like and it's quite easy to install. I thought about doing it for my Flex and F-150 as well.

Sync 3 was introduced in 2016. I wish my 2015 had Sync 3!

It's really not hard to do the conversion. There's a place that sells the whole kit for 1500 bucks, or you can piece it together yourself for cheaper. I'm considering it, but the only real upgrade to me for doing it as Android Auto. I also actually like the MFT interface better than the Sync 3 one.

The 13's were available with both the PP and the "driver assist" stuff - My '13 w/PP had the Parallel Park which became impossible in 2014.

Likewise, I think, the dynamic cruise control, and/or automatic braking.

When it came time to turn it in at the end of lease, I went for a 2016 just for the Sync 3. I had only used Parallel Park assist once testing it out. It seemed a lot of extra work to go through to park when I already have a backup camera and it's quicker to just do it myself instead of waiting for prompts. But I digress ;)

From what I understand based on the sales brochure the only time the adaptive cruise and brake collision warning wasn't available was with the PP for 13. From what I understand the optional items (that actually mattered) for a 13 SHO were the 402A, the PP, the 20" wheels, massage seats, moonroof, and NAV (not that I care). I definitely want the 402A (which it seems like every SHO came with), the PP, the 20" wheels (seems like every SHO had these), the massage seats, and moonroof. It seems like your only other option was exterior color and if you wanted black/black or black/gray interior.

Was or was not? It's my understanding that the 13's were the only time they WERE available with the PP.

Adaptive cruise was never available with PP. 2013 was the only year that Park Assist could be had with PP. Starting in 2014 Park Assist and adaptive cruise were bundled together in the driver assist package.

Ok what is 402a?

For M.Y. 2013, SHOs were available in 2 EA Equipment Groups: 400A (rare/rental car) and 402A (adds Active Park Assist/HD Sony Radio/Rear Shade/Rear Heated Seats, etc.)

For M.Y. 2014, 2015, & 2016, 400A was available and that 402A became 401A (deleted the standard Active Park Assist; made available now with Driver Assist Package as Option. Like others said, cannot have PP and Driver Assist)

For M.Y. 2017, 2018, & 2019, ONLY the 401A was offered.

Thanks for the help guys! It looks like I'll be trying to track down a 13 with 402A, PP, 20" wheels, moonroof, massage seats, and Tri-Coat White Platinum Metallic. I don't need the NAV as I use Google Maps, and I can go with either black/black or black/gray interior.

You could always upgrade the electronics to the later versions that take Apple Carplay/Android Auto, which makes it nice to hook up with the phone.
