it was surprisingly easy. I went to autozone got chrome delete tape or it might be called black out tape, applied the tape in large strips and cut with a box cutter the excess, never done it before or anything like it and it turned out very good IMO.Bump to this. I'd really like to get rid of the chrome on mine, but I can't find a good guide on how to do this. Are people pulling the pieces off and spraying them? Taping it off and spraying them on the car? How does the vinyl wrap work? I'd do this tomorrow if I could find out how.
Have not seen one. Though quality wrap should last years and paint won't look bad any quicker than the rest of the car long as its prepped properly.I know there are replacement grilles but are there just black replacement trims we can buy somewhere? Neither paint or wrap are permanent and consistently look good over the years.
Wish my chrome was deleted.
