I just installed Anthony's mounts. No false knock retard. The vibrations were bad at first. I did consider putting the stock front mount back on, but after a few days and it calmed down.

An update (about 6 weeks after install):

While the vibrations did get better, the 'drone' at 1500 rpms was very annoying. And it would make a buzz in the dash somewhere too. The vibrations were enough that new passengers would comment.

I read somewhere that the later SHO's don't even have the front mount. With that in mind, I went back to the stock front mount (which is still in very good shape). I'd say that about half or more of the vibration is gone.

I believe I still have all/most of the benefit from the just the rear, with very little of the downside.

Believing and knowing are two very different things. I don't run ssm mounts but mine are upgraded to stiffer than factory. I removed the front mount for one track day. I had my worst times by far of the summer that day.

Before I went to track I thought it would be same or better by the way it felt. 1st to 2nd felt smoother than with both mounts. At track I had multiple 12.5 runs which I had never done in 20-25 visits to track. Best time that day was in 12.3's which was about a tenth slower than normal.

Hello everyone, just became aware of some posts in this forum about these mounts. I have seen some good info about the upgrade and also some planted info a little less accurate. Lets start off with all the SSM mounts have a lifetime warranty and if you have a set from us or the "third party" with bad paint and or purchased the wrong bushing compound for your application send them back for free powder coat and a bushing swap to get it right for your build.

Your guys product is amazing! Look at those welds. Did you set up the long mount with that bend and twist for a reason in particular?

On the short mount.....is it not straight for a reason also? Those off center welds are impeccable. You guys really out did yourselves. The powdercoat looks A+ quality as well.

Weird, I haven't heard a peep about quality ect from other owners about "the third party"........

Crazy what a difference this is. I'm glad Anthony changed manufacturers. Shame the manufacturer decided they wanted to continue to make them once their honey hole had moved on. Lots of quality changes made switching.

As mentioned above we are fully aware that there have been a few orders that are not as athletically pleasing as a motor mount should be. The shop has not had any calls regarding this. We have however seen those same pics on FB several times. If this pertains to you simply do as mentioned above.

1. Contact us directly
2. Send us your parts.
3. Get new free parts, athletically pleasing parts, powder coated parts in your color if wanted.
4. Sell them or use them.

Have a great weekend guys and thanks again.

Just providing my experience...

See the attached pictures of the mounts to make up your own mind...

The AD mounts were $225, came with grease fittings, and only 1 style of bushing on his Gen 2. Absolutely nothing wrong with quality, bolted right up, did it’s job.

The SSM mounts were $180 but came without grease fittings although they could be added, and multiple choices of bushing stiffness. They bolted right up and did the job. Ran an 11.9 full weight with no wheel hop. Nothing wrong with the quality I received.

I choose to try a different bushing setup because after 5K miles and lots of track time the AD setup still produced more NVH than I wanted. The SSM options included a “Hybrid” setup that they said had factory levels of NVH while eliminating the wheel hop issues of the stock mounts. Thus far I can conclude they are correct.

There is nothing wrong with either setup, it’s all in what you want. I have built my SHO to maintain as much of the comfort and “feel” like it rolled off the show room floor but with the performance it should have had. The SSM Hybrid setup fits my goals more closely than the AD setup.

I see the SSM on Amazon 159.99 n free shipping. They list race version and street version. Is the street version the "hybrid"?

I just posted my one week old mounts in Classified section if anyone interested.
Not my thing, nice shifting improvement, nice and crisp, but not my thing.
