Ran them for over 30K miles. No issues. These aren't the COPs that they use in the modular engines. The modular coils are awesome but for some reason ford didnt bring that level of badass over to the eb platform. Gen 2 coils happened for a reason as well. Livernois is a joke tbh as unless you live near them you never really get a true tune. I bought mine directly from MSD for like $260 I think.

Matt has the dyno sheet somewhere. I will ask him to chime in on this thread.

agreed. Why the mod motor coils from MSD suck is beyond me, but I'm going on 40k miles with mine and no issues.

Blue line is Matt'd dynograph with MSD coils and tune with 3 bar and plugs

No idea why Ford would take a part that could handle well over 900 rwhp and not continue using them

I know right. I have the TQ all day, just that damn HP.

Meh, hp is over rated anyway. The car is all about torque and pulling at stop lights. My sho has more torque then my built 507ci big block, crazy

I agree for the most part. In the street light to street light grand prix my SHO is very tough to beat.

From all the documented SHO dyno pulls, I haven't seen another stock HPFP, stock turbo, E30 SHO make more TQ then mine at 494 tq. I see more HP SHO all the time in 400-420 hp range, so I want to join that club.

**** I might just leave it like it is, throw the coils on and see if we can crack 400 hp and 500 tq even with my documented boost issues. That would be cool.

Im pretty sure i made more power when i pulled the abs fuse and ran. It disables the advance track and abs of course and maybe the torque vectoring. I think there is still a nanny system with advance track on. Your car can turn it off buts its not “off off”. With abs fuse pulled it cant be on at all. Worth a shot. I have a switch in my sho for the abs fuse but if you turn it off and want it back on you need to turn the car off and back on unless theres a trick i havent found. Fun in parking lots with no traction and no esc but down side is it kills abs also, so car is heavy and emergency stopping will be bad. Use caution
Im still playing with lots of wiring and putting switches on lots of stuff on these platforms. Some work some dont, i do not daily the car also

My wiring system is all butchered up but can be fixed anytime. I dont need to hit lock to remote start car, just double click. I dont need my foot on brake to start at button. I have remote windows down and also rigged it for up. All kinds of stuff, my best friend does that kind of custom stuff everyday. Some safe some not

My logic center is broken today but you would have less power in real life driving because its easier for the car to spin the dyno rollers then it is to spin the whole earth when your driving

On an inertia dyno yes, but most tuners use an Eddy brake dyno these days that can apply load to simulate street driving.

Neat, these dynos getting fancy. Maybe they can add a rainwater system to make a tune for wet weather on a dyno. Since mine liked to suck up moisture in heavy rains in PA and ran like poo for that short time
