The speedo isn't totally accurate, they typically read slightly high. THe Crown Vic Interceptors has "Certified" speedos that were more accurate, not sure if the Taurus Interceptors do as well.
Will the speedo read past 140 ?
Anyone with a 2016+ try this with the digital speedo?

You'll need a tuning device, as well as a tune from the vendor of your own choosing, in order to remove the limiter.

If you need anything else locally, LMK, as I too hail from just outside of the CHI.

Ha! That's a loaded question that I'm just not comfortable answering.

Maybe others can lend their advice on whom to go with. IDC to start a flame war, and given my debacle that occurred earlier this year, I'm probably not the right one to ask that question and expect an objective answer.

I got this Mike. The top tuners in my book are AJPTurbo (Brad), Gearhead (Matt), Ortiz Tuning (Lee) and Unleashed Tuning (Torrie). They all do a wonderful job and all can give your what you are looking for within reason.

I personally run the AJPTurbo tune. Brad is great, however his turn around is quite slow now with the explosion of business he is getting. He does have the fastest tuned SHO 's but he does tuning on the side. He does not have a dedicated business like the next three tuners.

Gearhead (Matt) has an Auto Octane that people rave about. He also has put alot of R&D into our platform as well. He developed our upgraded intercooler and spec'd out a pair of upgraded turbos. He also sells many products as well.

Ortiz tuning (Lee is their rep on here) is up an coming tuner in our community. I see quite a few SHO's with their tunes as well. There website is cool and they offer a ton a products as well.

Unleashed (Torrie) does a great job as well.

Take your time, talk to many tuners and then pick the one that is best for your needs.

Thanks Guys I really do appreciate the info. I will do my research accordingly. I have been wanting to do some engine work on the car to get some extra HP.

Just do your research on the weakpoints of the platform and proceed accordingly. Maintenance before modify. and enjoy!

When are you going to finally step into a 5th gen?

Back in college. No cash for a while. I can barely keep the GenII on the road. Chasing air bag issues.

Something worth the extra $100. Way more options then my BDX. I only have line pressure and no rail pressure or trans temp.
