Well that was pretty fun. I was really hoping to break into the 12’s but for the first time ever driving at the strip, I got pretty close so can’t complain. The place was dead so every run was by myself. I blew almost every launch because I felt like I never really had enough time to prepare after I was staged. All in all though, I guess 13.2’s are pretty respectable for a daily driver that I drove my whole family to the track in.
And yes, even my daughters booster seat remained in deep right. ;)

We all start somewhere. With that being said congratulations on popping your track experience cherry!

Now go back out there and keep practicing! You'll not only have fun, but you'll inevitably achieve faster times for sure.

Here is some good reading material.

https://www.ecoboostperformanceforum.com/index.php/topic,1239.0.html

My best times were with 26 psi in the front tires, and 40 psi in the rears. I avoid the water box like the plague.

I turn off traction control, and launch around 2400 rpm, at around 3 psi of boost. Also remember to keep the pedal down all the way through the line. Some people lift before.

If you felt rushed don't worry especially if you were by yourself - even if the tree goes green you can sit there as long as you want - the timing doesn't start until you actually leave the stage except reaction time.

Congrats!!! It gets very addicting.. Who are u tuned by?
Unleashed 93 tune. I’m sure a more radical tune would help shave a tenth or two but my goal is to reach into the 12’s with my “safe” daily tune.

I was all over the place on my launches. It all comes so fast I had a hard time paying attention to my RPM’s. I was running solo so as soon as I was staged the lights started. I even got knocked into limp mode once... again. Pretty stupid I can’t take off with over 2,000 RPM. That time I saw about 2,200, shifted to S, traction control off, wheel hop, toast! And at that point It was just me running so there was no water yet. So after that happened I was kinda too scared to start with over 2k. And there, I never even registered boost. Somewhere between 0 and -1 on the BDX.
I pumped the rears to 40psi and wanted to let some out of the fronts when I got there but totally spaced it.

I was planning on taking mine to the track for the first time tomorrow but something came up and changed my plans. Got the same tune you have so this gives me an idea on what to expect. Not sure the Corsa exhaust will add too much to it.
According to the "zero to 60" site, a stock SHO can do a 1/4 mile in 13.6 sec and 0-60 in 5.2 so you should be able to be able to bring down that number.
Have you clocked your 0-60?

Yeah I wish I’d have known that. I thought all that time would be calculated in.

Pretty good runs for your first time out! Jealous of all you low elevation guys and your times!! 8000-9000DA sucks! 1.8 60' is pretty awesome too! My best was a high 2.1, running out the back at 14.5@98. DA adjusted I should be seeing very similar times, this was pre GH tune too. Can't wait to go back next season. Be careful, this racing thing can get addicting!!!

I may come that way next season. It's closer than CO, and the DA is better for those bragging rights. Windy here today too, and snow possible overnight. Was going to meet up with a coworker that has a draggy box, but finding a stretch of road to make pulls with no traffic is difficult here.
