I was looking to remove the noise eliminator from my SHO. I just hit 92k miles on it and Im starting to notice a definite leak at peak boosts, it will drop out of boost at about 5000 rpms noticeably.
I was looking for all the options for this, I didnt want to do the DIY version of this mod with capping off the noise maker, and I didnt want to spend the $400 on the hotpipe kit. EPP seemed like the best option but when I go to order it says no longer in stock. Do they only sell the hotpipe kit now? https://www.ecopowerparts.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1&products_id=11

Anyone have a budget alternative solution?

From what I understand the Lincoln version of this pipe has no noise maker.

When I click the link it just says "sold out". If you are on facebook I think Mike Bambic is in the ford Taurus owners group, you can ask him directly what the ETA is for them being back in stock. I know he said around 90 days for the cold air intake but that was due to some design changes. I would think this piece will be back in stock much quicker. I'm pretty sure he is a one man show, so he probably does not order large quantities to stock.

I have a 2011 SHO, would I get the 2011 part? or is the 2015 Lincoln part universal for the SHO?
I would stick with your year. Mine is 2015, so that would be the one I'd get.

Use the CONTACT US link to submit your question. May be that a new batch would have to be made?

I just ordered one from him for a customer yesterday, it only had a few more pre-made and has them done in batches of 50 so he was trying to get those done along with the new revisions to the dual intake.

He doesn't like fb messaged directly regarding the business but email him at [email protected] and he'll help you out with an ETA

the EPP pipe is back in stock....should i also get the meth bung if so which option ?... what are the benefits of the meth bung? is there any specific "maintenance" i need to do in the future due to this install? Sorry might be dumb questions.

The meth bung size depends greatly on what kit you plan to run. Snow and Devils Own run 1/8" NPT where I believe Alky Control uses a 1/4" fitting.

Decide which kit you want and purchase accordingly.

Other than making sure the t-bolt clamps stay tight there is no maintenance required.

do u think the kit is necessary?..the only reason why im doing this is to get rid of the noisemaker... whats the downside of not getting the meth kit and just installing the noisemaker delete pipe?

It’s just an extra hole so if you go meth in the future it’s an easier install. You just plug it if you’re not using it. If you’re 100% certain no meth is in your future don’t get it.

if you get the Alky or LMS kit you just drill your own hole anyway. If you go any other meth kit you need the bung.

I didn't opt for a bung in mine, but I suppose if I did I would choose 1/4" and if I needed an 1/8" I could just instal a bushing to reduce the size?
