Because I want to have word with them... all three of my SHO's, 2013, 2016 and now the 2018, the left side of the spoiler is loose. The 2013 and 2016 I've had to go under the trunk lid and tighten that one side.

I mean seriously, 3 different cars spanning 6 years? (my 2013 was made in early 2012).

Jeez...

;)

On my 13, both sides were loose.

Yeah, come to think of it, I think my 2013 was slightly loose on the right side.

And I mean, straight from the dealer with < 100 miles on the 2018, and like 25 on the 2013.

Between the loose spoiler, and the push-pin type retainers on the rear bumper cover underneath, the entire back end sounds like a Tupperware party ;)

First thing I did on my 2013 and 2016 was to use 1/4-20 screws and nyloc nuts to secure the bumper cover. Huge difference going over bumps.

My 2015 spoiler has been fine up to this point so it is not 100% failure rate. In general my car has been really trouble free but I have only put <16k miles on it so far.

My 11 it was the passenger side, nut fell off and was shaking around every time I opened the trunk.

My 2011 was loose post rear end collision damage, not sure if it was that way before or not honestly. The shop tightened it after I pointed it out. Honestly haven't noticed or checked my 2016.

Mine was loose to.

Yes, lifted up slightly on one side.

Not much to pull the carpeting off of/a way from the trunk lid to expose the nut/bolt.

Extension and a socket, along with some blue Loctite, and consider it good go.

Had the problem on my 2014 SEL's spoiler. After the loose nut got wedged and stopped moving/rattling, it was not fun locating and fishing out the nut with a boroscope and magnet.

Reinstalled both with Loctite. No problems since.

Same on my 11. My right nut missing (the one for the spolier) and was no where to be found. The left was loose. Fortunately the clips held it in place.
