2015, just bought a replacement because mine was missing. This is the huge plastic piece with insulation in it and fasteners you take off when changing the oil. The grooves, which on my 2010 were open to let air in to the turbos. On my replacement one for my 15, part# DA8Z9910494A, the 2 places where there should be holes, is sealed. The plastic is just formed.
Can you guys check under your 2013-17's to let me know if your cover is vented or if those places are sealed? Thanks.

Just changed the oil in my 2015 SHO last weekend and there are no holes on mine. I can see a couple places where I could dremel the holes to make scoops.

Thanks for the replies guys. Wasn't sure if I had the correct part. Holy **** was that downpipe hot when I installed it. It had only ran for like 5 minutes. Burnt the **** out of my finger when I accidentally touched the pipe while putting the under cover on. lol
Not sure why they don't have any vent holes cut out for air to get to the turbos. Seems like it is designed for that. I could swear my 2010 was vented and made a little different.

Sounds like a good idea. What are the negatives of not using it? Why is it on thete, even flow under car for mpg?

It is called an Aeroshield and it is there for aerodynamics as well as noise suppression. I believe BDP has vents in his hood to remove the pressure build up from not having the shield in place. Otherwise pressure builds up under the hood at high speeds. Since heat tends to rise, I don't think it is hurting anything heat-wise. I tried running without it at the track one time and my IAT 2 temps were the same, my ET was actually a tad worse and, yes, the hood began vibrating at about 100 MPH.

Might be possible to customize with a couple flexible hoses that could be directed directly at the PTU and Turbo. At freeway speeds, it might lower the temps on these by 10F.

Although I have since removed the piece entirely anyhow.
As stated above he removed his, personaly I would leave it in place I am pretty sure its all about aerodynamics which is free power (so to speak) but then bpd1151 has some power to spare compared to the rest of us. Clean air is always good air.
