Okay a quick question, I finally got the race tune from livernois, and it requires 100 octane, I can use the octane converter to find out how much methanol I can use to get to the magic number, however I wanted to ask is there an amount of methanol, I shouldn't use and would be bad for my car? I know everyone says don't use more than a couple gallons of ethanol in a tank, I am just curious if that applies to methanol as well?

You can't go over e30 on the stock fuel system
That's not entirely true... I think fomocosho is higher than 30.. you prob just need to keep boost lower, or control spikes somehow

He ran higher in the past. Personally I wouldn't risk the fuel pressure he was dropping to. But not my car. So not my problem.

Under 1200 at the rail if I remember. Too low for me. General rule of thumb. Don't go over e30. Unless you spend the money for the auxiliary fuel system or one of the hpfp.

Boosted what is the octane of e20 100℅ meth?
93 but 92 winter blends. I have been on 1 e85 and 5 gallons 91 is about 92. Now I'm gearing up for the track 1.5 gallons e85 to 5 of 91 is 93 octane. But the Knock reduction is huge. Also was thinking of e98 they have 5 gallon cans where I get my methanol. So wanted to try that instead of e85 for the track. But I can just run pump 101 also. So we'll see what happens in over 5k elevation but will have some time slips 1/4 mile on the 18. Wanted to compare tunes but don't think I'll have my other tune ready yet

So you can run pump 101 octane with no issues on the stock fuel system?

Yea we can also run 109 but we have pump 101 but it's 8:02 per gallon. Vs 1:80 for e5 granted the car runs a lil better on 101 but that's just for the track. But my cars turned up as far as It can go.

The race tune requires quality fuel...I run an e15 to e20 mix on this tune (I'd verify with Livernois to make sure it's the same though) to make sure I have enough octane rating for it.

E15 more for the winter and e20ish for warmer temps.

You are running a meth kit though?

No meth kit, I'm not trying the tune until I get my 100+ octane unleashed, just too much chance of damage to my engine

Umm the Livernois Race Tune won't damage your engine..... worst case is you won't get full spark because the OAR won't scale it up due to KR...

I have the run their race tune on 93 pump gas without KR during the summer.. I even called Livernois to verify I was getting the full benefit. Their response was that I should be using race gas but if I was not seeing any KR I was in fact getting the full benefits...

At worst on winter blended fuel I was seen 2 degrees in KR on pump gas....

Put in some 93 with 3 gallons of E85 just to be on the safe side if you are worried...

Well my tune isn't the same, I have a 2013+ so the 4-x race tune isn't available for my car. This is the 100 octane tune, and they told me DO NOT use it with less than 100 octane, so I will heed their warning as my car is a 2016 and I don't want to blow stuff up:)

That auxiliary system has proven to be a huge pita to tune for also. I'm eagerly awaiting the hpfp right now.
