so ive really been itching for a v8 coupe with a manual tranny as I drive my truck on the daily.

should I trade the SHO in on a 15+ GT with Performance Package (I can pick up a lightly used one fully loaded around 28k) or should I keep the SHO? only thing that is holding me back is I dont want to be a "Mustang" owner if you know what I mean.. but I do really like what they did with this new gen.

Do you need the luxury options, 4 door rear seat space, and trunk space? Do you have kids you drive around?

no kids, I needed the extra space when I originally bought the SHO but I have since got a pickup that does everything I need and more.

im really in the market for something that's
1. shitload of fun to drive
2. still comfortable for my GF and I to take on cruises
3. manual tranny I can bang (pun intended)

I have a 2015 SHO with pp, traded my 2011 5.0 GT automatic with leather interior. What do I miss about the GT, is the sound and feel of the V8. There is nothing better than hearing the throaty V8 in the morning. Now the SHO is so comfortable, at my age the SHO is easier to live with, heated and cooled seats; rear back seat that I can get into easy, sun roof, ample luggage space, and navigation. Gas mileage was about the same. The 2011 platform was a little long on tooth and aging compared to the new body style, however I felt that the new body style was a little small for my liking, I did not like the front seat how they made me feel cramped, loved the creature comforts of the new body style, heated and cool seats, driving dynamic switches and navigation. However, I felt that it was hard to get out and reaching the seat belts was painful for me, the 2012 had this break away latch that made it easy to reach for seat belts and sat a little bit higher from the ground that made entering and exiting a little easier. I did think that the 2015 mustang drove much better than my 2011 as a daily driver. I say take a long test drive, then make your decision. If I had the money, I would have them both.

thanks for the input man, I will probably test drive a couple on different days and see how I feel. I would love to keep the SHO and get a Mustang but ide rather keep my truck and have a mustang (or other performance coupe).

That is a little bit how I feel. Traded my 2013 convertible for the SHO. I looked at a new Mustang, but my wife found it nowhere near as comfortable as the SHO. Her MKZ goes off lease in the spring and she isn't sure about replacing it right away.

I am very pleased with the SHO. It drives well, handles well which surprised me given the size. Next year she is thinking that she will take the SHO and I can get another Mustang for me. One more reason she doesn't want to replace her Lincoln right away.

A Mustang is your best bet if you want a 2 door car with a manual transmission. They are well built, durable, easy to service and fun to drive. They have a strong following and are easy to sell, and there is a ton of personalized equipment you can add, and at a reasonable price.
There is a reason there are millions of them out there.

20 horsepower is not, "so much more powerful".

Base dyno for a 16 ss is 420whp give or take.
Base dyno 15 gt 380whp give or take

Camaro ss 1/4 mile around 12.3
Mustang gt 1/4 mile around 12.8 on a perfect run

Makes a difference

Got to look at the torque/hp curves, where it's delivered, how quickly, and how long is max power available (through what rev range)
